Like Heimdallr said, jumpy fits would have made me unsub. Stupid Clack Scouts (lol) would have made me unsub (the cloak everything would have made me unsub also). If I was one of the folks waiting on racial heavy suits the Michelin Man heavy suit would have made me unsub (nice production standards. That suit looked like it was made in MS Paintbrush when it came out, think it was Gal). I would have had trouble staying subbed when the scanning game went from working as a squad with one designated scanner (logi), to every man for themselves as a handful of Cal/Gal scouts played grabass trying to get under each others scans/scan each other while getting cheesey kills and running the same amount of HP as one of my Armor Grims. All because people were tired of seeing "you've been scanned". You know what, the scanning game changes would have made me unsub. I still take the position that subs are better. F2P is a curse upon online gaming, really gaming in general. The goal goes from "we need to put out a solid game with solid support, to how can we get a handful of people to take on the bulk of the financial burden while the dev spends the least amount of money and does as little work as possible. I would have subbed for Dust514. Dust514 got hit by a truck in early 2014, and died in May 2014 (that's when FF was that year right? Or was it April?) I don't know what that sloppy pile of noxious anal residue that came after Dust was called, but I most certainly would not have subbed for it (I didn't even play it for free). I'm sure some people who came before me (2013) would say the same about my build, and that's understandable. But I'd like to think they would say what came after FF14 was 1000 times worse. Thank god they never tried to introduce Stasis Webifiers. ........... Although, the cloak mod was out well before it was actually released, and climbing stairs was damn near impossible sometimes so.......... Secret release/test of Stasis Webs confirmed! F*ck you CCP.

This is happening more and more in games as the initial money spent on a game is just not enough for devs/publishers. Truthfully, I am waiting for ads to be added to console games during loadups like we see in mobile games as that seems to be where this full cash grab phase is all coming from. Back to the specific topic, I regularly put cash into DUST because the time I spent in it. I have done the same with all the F2P console games I have played and spent sufficient time in. To be completely honest, direct subscriptions turn people off while supposedly bonus things such as the Premier subscription option people like. That is what CCP should have ran with. Imagine if you could pay for a perk like being able to create custom locked matches where assets were not lost. Something like that would have greatly aided in corp training and I could see all serious CEOs paying for such an option... if PC wouldn't have been such as cf. To direct answer the question in the subject though, no I would not have paid a subscription. PC was a severely flawed concept; a concept I like many others had bought into. Once CCP admittedly it was broken beyond fixing, DUST lost its purpose for most. If CCP could have fixed PC or maybe provided something else to fill in that gap then maybe but I quit DUST for the most part well before the shutdown notice. I don't troll; I tell the truth. I'm also known as "The ANTI-Propaganda Machine".
