I still can't take competitive shooters seriously anymore.
It's just not the same when your deaths don't matter.

It's just not the same when your deaths don't matter. Exactly. Theres really just no feeling like spawning in a suit you cant afford and trying so hard to stay alive that you break your controller in half. I miss it so much, cant find anything like it, no other game compares, the deaths literally just dont matter.......but in Dust it was everything. Even the feeling of knowing you cost someone ISK every time you killed them....it was so........empowering. Yeah, in most games when you encounter a pack of tryhards, you cut your losses and leave.
In Dust when you encounter a pack of tryhards, you go into your dirt-cheap fittings and try to see how much of their ISK you can destroy.

I'll never forget when I made a minmatar militia light frame with a shotgun and other stuff like kincats...worth just over 2K ISK...and got 42 kills on that map with the acid bath in the middle, where the A objective is. I died over 20 times but I made so much ISK and SP it was hilarious. Or my ~1000 isk fitting using all BPOs aside from a standard remote explosive.
Was my suicide-bomber fitting, because explosives prevent their protosuits from getting revived.
