It has been happening, slowly increasing more and more. I look from side to side, barely noticing the slithers of data as if in a lifestream. I see the numbers..5 0 3. 5 1 4.
I see the numbers in everything. I see them in the stark black, and the tremulous white of the surroundings.
I pass it off as just any old day to day occurence.
My mind is slowly dying, going insane without me even realizing it. Decaying in ignorance, just like every other dusty article, every other column or monolith of vanity in this twisted universe. But I don't care. I never cared. I shall continue in bliss to talk to myself as i die, locked in a cubicle with no doors or windows, no source of nourishment, no source of illumination. No knowledge of the wars or their end, no care of anything.
We will never feel the soft rains of ruin as we tell the same stories over and over, already sitting in our own destiny. Already decaying under the luminaries that freed us, only to watch us perish.
