I would say first half, maybe even first quarter of 2017.
Either way it is best to find something to distract you from silence. I hope It's this year... bf1's multiplayer bores me to death.

If it wasn't the incredibly fast-paced gameplay keeping you entertained, it were the glitches and DC's, it really gave it diversity, you know? Yes! And Don't forget about Scotty putting everybody in 10 min+ queues for factionals!

Breakin Stuff wrote:When you Had a game of DUST and everything WORKED the game was freaking amazing.
Problem was being on when the stars aligned.
When the game worked, you could chew through people like a chainsaw. You could test fits under brutal conditions.
You could actually pick a fight with a vehicle and it would feel like a fight rather than a mugging.
The potential was always there.
I spent the last day of Dust in the redline. Losing all my Thales. It was amazing... got alot of hate mail on the last day

Luna McDuffing wrote:I think a more important question is how long are we willing to wait for it? The longer it takes the less interest I have. I was really hoping for an alpha 2 month after dust was closed. I know that is asking a lot but, the opposite its even worst. Are you willing to wait two years from now? That is a long time to wait when there are so many other options and new ones are popping up all time. By the time the game comes out you would have lost dust player base. Sure you could gain a.new.base but I think they should take advantage to get off the ground with a head start.
I think CCP will lose alot of the old Dust playerbase, due to them being inactive & uninformative. (No, I do not count them talking on discord as being active and or informative)
I would personally like some proof that they're actually working on the game... not just words. (i.e. Alpha)

Games take years to develop. Look at Civ 6 - took them 5 years. Yes, but Civ 6 had a brand new game engine, while Nova will be using UE4. Not to mention that with the nature of Nova, being a constantly changing game, they won't be waiting until all the bells and whistles are in. They will likely release when a good core product is ready to go, upon which greater things will be built. Lastly, Rattati never would have mentioned that the Alpha might come before year's end if that wasn't at least realistic. Even if that isn't the case, which is what is looking to happen, I can't imagine that an Alpha would be too far off the mark. I never saw where he said it might come before year's end. In fact, everything I saw was someone saying that it was early testing (not even alpha) and they didn't have any clue about a release date. Would love to see something different as I really want this game to be released.
I'm going through every article from april rn, because i remember him saying that aswell... just don't know where

(i.e. Alpha) I think ccp will lose a lot of the old dust player base due to the old dust player base not having PC's. To pile on top of that, i think ccp does not really care that they will lose a lot of the dust player base. (Not that their is anything wrong with that when it comes to making a new game that you hope will be a big success) Without knowing whether you have a PC or not, I'm assuming you're salty about this.
