Want to have more EVE immersion in NOVA?
DEPLOY FROM ORBIT!!!!!
Instead of dropping from MCC just over the battlefield, drop from ORBIT! Great views of outer space, planets and EVE ships.
I was watching some GUNJACK gameplay where the player was mounted on the side of a ship looking over a planet and I thought how cool it would be to deploy from there. Pressing (X) for inertia dampeners from the edge of the atmosphere looking left and right and seeing your squad in free fall around you.
Yeah, thats right, I said PRESS (X)!!!! |

Cloaked sky spawns would be a great piece of the puzzle that is removing the cancerous redline.
From dust we rose through trials young as legions run through countless souls; resting dreams within the boundless nova.

Hell no we won't have a MCC. We will be stuck inside some smelly ship fighting for the last breath of clean air. With no vehicles, maybe we could get a weaponized segway to wreck shop with? Hell I'll use a forge against a segway! I'll be the stinky min assault dropping farts everywhere! Fresh air, the fight for!
When in doubt pull the forge out!! But we are all dead so who cares!

Yeah, thats right, I said PRESS (X)!!!! Yeah, Nova is only going to be on ships and maybe space structures, man.
They MIGHT introduce ground gameplay later.

How high are you expecting to drop from? Because I mean sure you could probably drop from the outer edge of the atmosphere but if you wanted it to make sense, it would still take like 10+ minutes to actually reach the surface right?

Well, ten minutes is about the time it takes to plan the average PC match
For the in game lore though, I would imagine that rather than simply have inertia dampeners, it could be a hyper boost shot to the surface once entering the atmosphere that would make the fall take seconds rather than minutes. Failure to hit dampeners would afford you a spectacular view of the stars and planet while you burn up upon re entry. |

*merc activates inertia dampener*
*crashes through ship causing it to explode*
