Hehe, that's also pretty true, at least for what concerns the italians being in awe of germany. In our collective imagination Italy and Germany has always been closely tied one another for some reason, being it rivalry or close friendship. Many italians sees Germany as the utopia-state they always wanted Italy to be

I'm Italian! and I'm still working on my German...it's pretty difficult compared to english
Thats no big deal. Fortunataly nearly everyone in Germany understands English. The only trouble there is with the german Language are the articles for nouns. The rest of the grammar like tenses have a regular structure, but take time to be mastered.
By the way, which Hochschule are you going to be attending? I'm just curios |

TH K+¦ln. I've already been in Germany for a while, in Nordrhein-Westfalen (precisely in Remscheid and Eschweiler), and decided to go there since I'm already familiar with the place (and I actually loved the place to be honest). Also, TH K+¦ln offers a game design bachelor degree and master degree which I'm very interested in, and in case I don't pass the entrance exam I'll just go to a computer science course there.

On a side note, even tho I don't really "need" to learn German since, as you already said, almost anyone in Germany speaks English, I wouldn't really like to be considered the typical italian "Ausl+ñnder" , moreover I strongly believe that the best way to make new friends is to speak in their native language and adopt the language and culture of the country you're in True words man. I for my part live in Hessen near Frankfurt am Main. |
