I might get it eventually, but I'm super historically OCD. Battlefield 1 takes historical accuracy and fucks it in the ass, which really bothers me.

Feels pretty much the same as BF4 tho imo. Differences are pretty superficial. You still have people running and gunning with automatic weapons. For example.
I wish they made it really gritty, tense combat.
I'm hoping they throw in lots of historical stuff tho. Like the prologue should let you kill Franz Ferdinand. And I'd like to see some of the historical battles re-done in campaign. It would also be a cool Easter egg to see ****** in some trench as Germans.
Who are we kidding, this game is just to set the stage for BF2 (WW2) HitIer wasn't really recognizable in WWI, so they would have to have someone specifically say "Corporal HitIer" or something.
God damnit, the censorship broke the link

Probably it's just me, but i also struggle to hit my opponents, at point blank range. I had not such problems in other shooters (such as BF3), not that i'm a marksmen, but hitting people at point blank range should be doable for me. The weapons are 100 years under devolped why would they be as accurate as bf3? This is 100 years in the past bruh Accuracy hasn't changed much; if anything, most standard-issue rifles are less accurate now because they have shorter barrels. What's improved from the past is optics, ergonomics, and etc.
As for shaman- it's WWI, the most static war in history. The **** did you expect?

An FPS? People running around shooting guns? are actual tactics really such a bad thing?

An FPS? People running around shooting guns? Seems legit. I play the beta on PC and only had the time to play once. The engine being the same as battlefront kinda reminds me about it in the design and the motions. What I like the most about BF1 is the few amount of "tools" that are available and that were simply ruining the fun for me in BF4. As usual, tanks are OP and I would've love a mode without them. Probably have that in the final game. It's really buggy though and not so stable. Many fixes, balance and patches have to be made Hopefully tanks will be nerfed to where they're realistic: ungodly slow with mediocre armor.
Mediocre armor by WWI standards, hilariously bad by tank standards. We're talking about armor that a .50 cal can easily punch through. .50 cals could kill tanks, and were sometimes a tank's main armament.
