Do you know the movies that have that one guy that just won't take NO for an answer? He will just keep standing there on the lawn? You go out in the morning and that mutha fuka is still standing there? Some of us that invested a lot into 514 are a lot like this guy. I'm not saying weGÇÿre not filling are time with other games and other sh!t, but we will wait (impatiently sometimes), but still wait nonetheless.

This sh*thole game needed to be killed with the FF14 announcement. Somewhere between the time before CCP turned AA back on towards the end of 2013 and before the introduction of the cloak mod was about as good as it got, in my mind at least.
It's kinda like when you dated that chick back when you were younger. Sure, at the time it seemed amazing, and you wanted it to last forever, but in reality you had nothing in common, and only got along when you were both snorting pain pills and drinking heavily. Then she told you she was cheating so you rode out.

Or you stayed with her, hoping that if you kept buying aurum and boosters from her she would stop cheating and stay with you.
I chose the first option in this strange mix of 2 "hypothetical" situations.
All joking aside, Dust was an amazing game. What made it amazing to me, and what will live on in my memory, was simply the concept of an online squad based fps with a multitude of skill/gear customization options being tied to a completely separate genre of game in real time. That concept, plus the hope and wonder of new things to come.
The reality was not as pleasant, and was not ever going to be pleasant. I bashed CCP a lot. More than I had any business doing. But at the end of the day I had a whole lot of fun, and I experienced a gaming concept the likes of which I've not even come close to seeing anywhere else (though Dust was close to my beloved MAG).
So with that I would say CCP didn't betray anyone. The time for that stuff was FF14, if you didn't get it out then, well you should have. (I did, it was fun).
And since this has kinda turned into one of those cheesy farewell posts I never made, I'll go ahead and acknowledge this as that. Good Game CCP, and I mean that. I will never forget the fun I had with your game.

Well, it might start with all racial suits and more weapons than dust had by the end of it, so I say it's a step forward. Sure we lost vehicles, but with hope, we might actually get them back, along with Matari and Amarrian ones! I don't really care much for them, but someone might. Just return my Quafe Methana! Also, make small blasters better pl0x!
I'm digging the new minimap, as well.
I can't wait to play it, be it an alpha, beta, or even gold. I just hope we get some form of skin or something to have some kind of memorial for Dust, or whatever.
EDIT: I hope they bring back Black Eagle Scouts without giving the rifle away to keep it unique.
