Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters had a powerful laser gun that increased damage the longer you fired, but instead of overheating, you have to stay stationary to use it.
Red Faction something something had one that was awesome for environmental destruction.
I think Dead Space had something similar as well?
There's a few more games I'm forgetting.

I loved all the weapons in Dust, they were all unique and special in their own way.
I miss it... *sigh*

I still feel that Dust 514 should at least be in the category for the Best Worst Games of all time award.

The things that were bad about it were quite horrible, but all the good things about it overshadow all the flaws it had.

Lacerators (dual with double barrel mod was OP in multiplayer)
Acid Bomb Glove
Concussion Gun
Bee Hive... Thing
Mootator
Incinerator
Agents of Doom
Suck Cannon
Laser gun
Sniper
And that's about it lol
The armors were pretty much the highlight of the game, though, along with the dream level

Yeah! So many people who still remember the awesome Rechet & Clank game series .
I think that were the games that actually got me into science fiction themed shooters. |

For me personally, there is no other game like Dust & it's variety of weapons. It was a truly unique game. I agree with it being nominated as the Best Worst game of all time lol. A lot of us were addicted to our mediocre fix on a regular basis. |
