Had a salty encounter with 911 Roush.
The fellow merc had his jimmies a rustlin because I was hacking turrets in the special contract matches. For some reason, he kept queuing Archduke's special contracts (and being the ******* that I am) I joined his side each time, for about 3 dom matches. He'd roll around in his tank, getting progressively angrier in local chat while attempting to pop installations, and I'd be there to make em' blue. 
Stepping back for a minute. Yes, I understand everyone's goal for 'celebrating' the end of Dust is different, but why the hell put oneself through the torture of getting an item (likely a 1 or 3 day omega booster) that has basically zero benefit with the game shutting down?

I lost interest in playing Dust after the end was announced, I thought: "what's the point?" in playing a game where all progress will be erased after it shuts down?
Really, there's no point in completing missions and getting rewards anymore, the only reason for someone to be playing Dust now is if they wanna feel nostalgic.

I kept playing because I have only been playing for less than a year and never got the chance to properly max out anything. So I set myself the task of maxing out as many Caldari skills as I could - CalAss, CalScout, RR, MAGSEC, Engineering, Electronics, Profile Dampening (for the Scout), Shields, Armour, basicly everything I would need to really experience what I've been missing.
And I got there. But now there's not much left for me to do - all the stomping is making battles rather unreasonable and while I have enough ISK for as long as I could possibly need, I'm finding I'm not particularly interested in throwing it mindlessly at all the roving gangs. So these days I leave more battles than I finish, and my level of progress has definitely dropped. I used to cap out my SP every week, now I don't come close.
I'll miss Dust, but I won't miss the stomping. It completely ruins the game for me. The fact that it's actually built into Dust via squads and qsyncing actually makes Dust somewhat distasteful. |

They never got rid of jihading, they indirectly made it more expensive. I still do jihading, logi mk.0 with 14 remotes |

Bah... I haven't skilled into any proto suits... can you believe it? 66 mil SP and no proto, I don't wanna get stomped thank you very much.

I'm confident that he can do it if he grinds and/or buys active boosters from other players (I haven't suggested he buy boosters on player market. He'll have to figure that out).
