Let me quote that again:

What?!!! CCP has tens of thousands of "followers", if not hundreds of thousands! Yes, there's 2000 that play Dust everyday, but Dust is not the be all and end all of gaming. EvE is CCP's flagship, and there is a huge international community that virtually LIVES in New Eden. I really think the statement that there are less than 2000 who "follow" CCP is just completely wrong. |

The game isn't over yet, how about a little respect for the players who supported this game since the beginning and keep it running smoothly until the end. The last impression of CCP and dust is going to be "why would I play another game made by these guys with all the bugs"
The big question is, after building a huge following of console players how is it smart to release the next game on PC. the ps4 4k could handle the next game easily. I just realized that like many people OP may have been influenced by login screen numbers so I will leave this here. http://eve-offline.net/?server=dustEven at its highest heights Dust barely managed to break 2,500 players online at any given time. Yeah, that was a big element of confusion for a lot of people who joined the game after they started displaying the total TQ count. I count that as flagrant false advertising. They could easily have told us the number of Dusters. But no, they told us the total number of EvE citizens logged into Tranquility instead.... |

That way the console version would have been a sort of scaled down promo to get people interested in the full version and by extention, EVE.
CCP's thinking? Whhen everybody epse goes right, they go left. Might have something to do with the words left and right in Iceland. There was a lot of thinking around at the start that it would have been better on PC and more easily integrated with EvE. Then we found out it was going to be on PS3. The rest is history.
I like your final analysis on CCP's thinking, which certainly doesn't seem logical to me. |
