EDIT: With our new recruitment thread in the proper section of the forums, this one is no longer need
ZionTCD is a very player base driven Corporation. Our HR aspect runs with the motto GÇ£Work with a Corp and not for one.GÇ¥ As for combat, we stand by GÇ£Win Together or Die AloneGÇ¥. TCD is founded by DUST 514 Beta members who have Mercenary spirits accompanied by personal agendas and dreams. Our efforts spread from the battlegroundGÇÖs found planet side all the way up to the political rings of space and leaning in the gray areas of corporate intelligence. Whether your path is executing orders in a combat zone, gathering information for a greater purpose or attending diplomatic affairs, you can find your place here in TCD.
Together we can build something great, because in the EVE Universe it is GÇ£Win Together or Die AloneGÇ¥
Quote:It is known that in New Eden only the strongest corporations survive. Others just perish in their wake, or join them. The EVE Online universe - where demigods operate vast numbers of ships and immortal mercenaries fight for planetary dominance - will be cruel to anyone that dares to venture deep enough into it. Do you believe that you can form a corporation and lead the merchants of death? Are you ready to put money, your pride, and your eternal life on the line for a group of people that you can trust for the eternal glory of New Eden? You better be. Because Corporations are what holds this universe together, and should you choose to either lead or follow, this is what you should know before you begin your immortal journey in DUST 514... When it comes dow to it, can't get a district or a planet through the strict use of orbital bombardment. You will always need boots on the ground. The question comes down to this: as Mercs, do we want to start to carve out our own space in EVE?
If so, black bag operations and logistical disruption of the capsuleers is the way to go. We set the rules and define our space and the terms of interaction.
You can do great things with a big ole ship, but it will only take you so far. Once your boarded, or you have lost you supply chain, YOU ARE F*CKED! And you sure as SH#T can land the thing in an atmosphere.
Good luck flying your ship then.
EDIT 1:
It is time all of us little people gathered around the camp fire and pulled a "Gulliver's Travels" job on those folks driving those things that get us from one system to another.

When Dust hits nullsec space, I think it is time to make our move. Use the strength of our collective mercenaries with contacts in EVE Online to shake things up with the major alliances. Hitting them where they aren't attention.
They'll have to start hiring Dust mercs then. Either that or watch their kingdom fall. |

The OP is absolutely right about that. I have been playing Eve Online for over four years now and still running to this day. Veteran Eve players are some of the most intelligent group of players out there that are capable of doing anything as long as they get a chance to do some homework on you (and they will get that chance every step of the way).
It's not just their ability to organize into large groups that make them very powerful. They can also establish connections to various groups of high-profile leaders and thus allow themselves to be highly influential in the decision making process of the political climate. They also have access to skilled market traders who have amassed wealth on their own free time through perseverance and extreme patience and calculated moves. Through these lone traders, powerful alliances have the ability to manipulate the market to their own will for personal profit for as long as they pay these traders well enough (and they always do).
Eve Online is basically one giant galactic game of chess New Eden is one giant chess board and, instead of just two players competing, there are 400,000 players competing against each other. Every move matters as it either affects another move or it was the result of another.
Now...
Imagine this being applied to Dust 514. Once the two markets are connected, once AUR items are bought by players and sold onto the secondary market for ISK, once the two sides start shooting at each other (orbital strike vs. planetary cannon), once clans organize with the corps, once traders game the market system, once metagaming is at its full potential, and once politics creeps in...
...the true sandbox will emerge in Dust 514 just as Eve has in the past and still is. |

This is true about the sandbox. Everyone is in the mind set that the Mercs are a bunch of DUMB FPS players that can only be hired by Capsuleers to do there biding. And from what I've heard they will care only if it effects SOV. Lets flip the table with the effectiveness and efficiency of a well thought out Bank Heist. Last I check we made planes to fly us around and not other way. |

semantics aside, organization, is organization. no matter where you organized, if your organized you will do better.
at the moment it is very hard to organize in game unless your on comms outside of dust, this will change. Player run corps will come to Dust, alliances will be built, then the meta game will really start.
Now I have run into people who have failed to understand what this game is really about and fail to heed the corrections of those who do, and they to my mind are not worthy of my time. Those that fail to understand but accpet correction, are those who will be welcomed into New Eden. |

alright lets get this started. first things first. We are in the Eve universe and we do not have "Clans" they are referred to as Corporations(Corps). The Corps can then join a like minded alliance, this allowing you to keep your closest friends playing with you in the corp but keep the numbers with the needed to defend and attack other systems with the alliance.
We need to break the bad habits from old FPS. Dust will be the mature FPS and we are setting the standards right now. |
