As i come up on my 5th year in EVE i've been thinking of why i started playing it. Although Dust and EVE never really effected each other in any large scale way they have effected each other indirectly. Almost 5 years ago I saw the trailer for dust, found it interested, looked into CCP, started an EVE account to get ready for it. Here I am 5 years later, director in a EVE corporation started by and still ran by former Dust players. We have just crossed over 14,000 corp kills this month. Not much when you compare it to other corps who live in sov and been around for 10+ years. But when it comes down to it our corp would not have been here if it was not for a dust trailer from 5 years ago.
Past all that, I think it would be cool for those of us who play EVE as well as dust to get some sort of recognition of the game we are about leave behind. With project nova i know there is going to be a tiered recognition system and people have high hopes for that since they are leaving everything behind on dust and are going to be starting from 0 on nova. I don't think EVE needs anything so high end as a tiered recognition system. So i'm just going to throw some idea's around.
Tl:Dr:
If CCP is up for it. It would be cool if Dust players who play EVE would get some recognition.
EVE has these little ceremonial and commemorative items they give out every now and then with some in-game references and of things that happen like past events. They are really not worth anything but some people like to look at them and keep them. I think it would be cool if dust players were able to redeem some dust versions of these.

We could have stuff like.
~ Photon Gear
~ Roman's Boat
~ Black Eagle Scout Event
~ X's officer weapon
~ Quafe Nova knives, Scrambler Rifle, etc.
~ Templar Dropsuit.
~ Beta tournament: Imperfects
~ Squad Cup: 0uter. Heaven.
~ Nyain San ISK vault
~ Cooked locus grenade
~ CBM Meeting room.
Just a couple of ideas. I'm sure if CCP was interested we could get 100's of dust reference within a day in this thread. Dust has a rich history.
Other thing i think would be cool is if we could get a Dust 514 Legacy themed EVE ship skin. Valkyrie just got three released a couple of month back.

Kind of an open thread, if anyone has any idea's feel free to share. Idk how much support this thread is going to get. None the less I know a lot of EVE players who started because of Dust although they don't play any more. I'm sure some sort of dust memorabilia on EVE would put a smile on their face.

I've done my fair share of b*tching about this game, but night after night i would log in and play with buds.
The game was rough, everyone including CCP can admit that. I'm not saying start loading everybody hangers in EVE with Dust stuff. But if dust players could redeem items in EVE somehow i know a lot would enjoy having something to remember Dust by.

EVE Char was made in 2003 poss 2004. Be nice if we had some kinda overall loyalty rank in new games. also wtf happened with the stuff for the mystery code from second decade collectors? had bugger all from it since it came out lol

Nyain San doesn't deserve any recognition apart from being exploiters and cheaters. Nothing but a bunch of scumbags who aren't good enough to play by the rules.
If they're given anything it should be an item that immortalizes their shame.
Maybe a bronze dunce helmet or an ip ban. Both work for me.

Our sources in CONCORD state that the CreoDron was using illegal Jovian technology in their standard issue Light Attack Vehicles (LAV's), making capable of things that CONCORD state 'are inconsistent with a proper civilization, even in acts of war.'
