Just in case something falls through with Nova character transfers or you want access to your corporation in the interim after Dust shuts down, please take advantage of the upcoming Free-to-Play Eve weekend coming up on steam (May 5th - May 8th).
Merge Dust corp to Eve by making Eve character CEO (Eve alt must have at least one point in corporation skills). You can leave it here but you risk having to pay money to reopen this Eve steam account in order to take back the CEO title if Dust corps carry over into project nova's successor.
Here's what you can do to cover all bases. Transfer CEO title back to a Dust player. Use Dust player to appoint your Eve alt to director status. On the Eve side, transfer a percentage (not all) corporation shares to your director alt. Now your director alt has the ability to call a vote with majority share control on maters such as a appointing a new CEO (without needing to involve 'now' defunct Dust characters). Some shares are preserved within the corp in case you want to abandon this Eve steam character and use a new character to call for a creation of new shares.

Counter: Nova doesn't have any interaction with EVE and now your corporation is now locked into a game with no social connection and being unable to remake your corporation.
Now, how could it have no social interaction but still matter that a name is taken? I'dunno...
Still, decent idea.

Still, decent idea. It's a further insurance policy. CCP isn't going to **** over a Dust corp if there are Eve player assets/shares in holdings with that corp.

Interestingly, not only does my EVE character hold all the shares for Immortal Guides, but some other DUST CEO's had me hold shares for their Corp's as well, as a fail safe. Now, that shows a lot of trust.

2 Possibly hiccups. My info may be out of date. Someone active should confirm.
- Trial accounts get purged periodically if they are inactive.
- Trial accounts can't train the corp management skills.

as far as i am aware, THERE IS AND SHALL BE NO CHARACTER TRANSFER FROM DUST TO ANY CCP WHEVER PAST PRESENT OR FUTURE, quit praying to fools who don't bother to say ANYTHING to us when the game has been down for over 12 hours (AGAIN!!!!!), and in the grand scheme of things, having 30,000 people playing a game is not 'HUGE' numbers, especially for pc, i for one can't wait till dust dies, then i will no longer have to deal with CCP, all they do is lie, i.e. character tranfer was promised, but not happening to name but one item, quit hanging on every word CCP says, go outside, look real trees, fools, 30,000 players in todays market is nothing, |

Corps will definitely be "transferred" because no transfer is necessary, they already and always have existed independently from Dust. It is almost guaranteed that we'll be able to reuse our character names, because they'll have no reason to keep the names of those characters in the database. They'll probably just run a script to flag us as Nova characters. That is as much as I'd expect to get.
If you do have an eve character capable of taking the CEO spot of your corp you may not need to pay to log in and transfer ownership to your Nova character. If you contact customer support they may let you log in for a few hours for free to get the job done. They already allow unsubscribed eve players to do this in a program called hours for plex. The intent is that you get to log in for free so that you can buy a plex with isk to reactivate your subscription without paying real money.

http://evewho.com/corp/DUST+University
Dennie Fleetfoot is an Eve Online character who is the CEO of that corp. We have a lot of Dust characters here. And since Dust University is a member corp of the IVY LEAGUE alliance, which has been established in Eve Online long before Dust ever existed, this seems to be a secure way of storing your characters in preparation. I just don't know what would happen to corps that have been established within Dust.
No, this is not a cheap shot at recruiting because that's pointless now given what's happening to Dust. I'm just saying just in you don't have an Eve contact to go by or if you don't have access to a PC right now, you can always join Dust University and store your characters there for now.
Now that I think about, maybe it's about time I start logging back in and catch up on that. I do have director roles which enable me to accept applications.
This just made me wonder. What if you have a Dust-established corp with an Eve Online corp member in it?

Pretty solid suggestion Jadek. Then people can look at the corp management tools in EVE and sob at the realization of just how awful they are in DUST.

Now let's hope he is still in contact with Rattati when they get around to working on the Corp Management interface, and mail handling.

I want that in writing from CCP that it's not going to Fk over any Dust asset or character skill earnings or anything elese that everyone put up with throughout the history of Dust. Before I even think of trusting CCP ever again. Shite, you should of seen the reply to my support ticket factually pointing out that I was forced to break several ISP contracts under the instruction of he support team, let alone purchase 2 more PS3 consoles, again, under the direction of support team, that in total cost me $2100AUD and it not only did not resolve the problem, but at the end of it all, was a problem on CCP side that they addmitted liability for yet never offered any compensation.
CCP can get fkd.
