I dig the idea of an arena style seasonal tournament or something similar, but I agree that should not be for PC. I hate to reference WoW, but it works at least as something to relate to. Split the games between battleground type leagues where randoms cue up and it's a one off deal, and corp-run pro teams competing in a progressive seasonal type rating. One is for fun and something to do when tired of the grind, while the other is for bragging rights and can be streamed for ISK wagers for bored EvE pilots and mercs sitting alone in their quarters. Hype it and treat it like the NBA of EVE and that really opens the doors wide for player-driven support from YouTube streaming, interviews, rankings, gambling, play coverage, etc., and it can be strategically used as a training ground for PC corps to practice fielding various A and B teams to practice tactics and comms or whatever or as a source of recruitment.
I can definitely see something like this become a sub-culture of the CCP gaming communities where if the tools are in place, the players could quite possibly create something really special of it. It could also be a topic that CCP could publicly spotlight from time to time to show (even if NOVA never truly hits MMO status proper) how they are still bridging the game communities through this social access point that could take a life of its own, different than either game individually.
*edit* Maybe consider changing the thread topic to something more specific to get proper attention and discussion?

*edit* Maybe consider changing the thread topic to something more specific to get proper attention and discussion? I just said PC because you can control who is on your team whereas q-syncing in a pub or fw doesn't always go as planned. Do you have an idea for the title? I'm not creative
Oh I'm totally on board with you. That's partly why I edited my post to add the bold content at the start. I think, ideally, CCP should create something specific to the mode of play so that corps and players can create and edit team rosters---at least for the seasonal arena type play. That way it's more or less self contained and up to the players as a side game, without dipping into proper PC and corp conquest issues.

I don't think it's ever really too late. As long as the community keeps replying, this might get some attention from someone. Even if it's not an immediate priority, there's no reason to think it could not come in time. The more support you get now while forums remain available, the better the chance of being noticed. Ya know?
Oh I see you changed the thread topic. Good! Much more visible now. I think it would be a great idea for a lot of reasons.
