Ok CCP, How does this work? for over a week now my character (HijinxQLD) can not find a single battle, however if im in a squad run by someone else it pretty much insta deploys us. Ive tried changing servers and game types, auto as well, and still nothing. I can go for hours searching for battles and nothing. after about 10-11min I get scottyd everytime. whats up with that. ive been playing this game for 3yrs now, I love the game but its things like this that make me want to leave it and eve and never come back. fix my issues, (Dust514 not personal) |

I find that if I set the server to America, most of the time I can get battles. Automatic seems to mean "Asia" for me (I'm in QLD). At certain times of the day I can set it to Europe to avoid the stomping and lag on the American server, but most of the time, the American server is the only one that gives me battles in a reasonable time.
You need to set it and then leave it search while you do something else. I like to restock suits or check my unallocated SP while I wait. Even on the American server, it can take minutes sometimes, only seconds others. If there's a battle happening and someone leaves or there's an opening in one of the teams you can deploy virtually instantaneously. Other times, I think the squads and qsyncers take up all the slots and you don't get a look in. There's definitely a bias towards squads in this game and when they qsync as well, you may not get in for a while.
Also time of day is important. I find immediately after DT is probably the worst time to be on. It makes sense because battles require participants and after DT you have to wait for people to log in and start searching for a battle for there to be any. Nighttime for the Americas is the best time, but also the worst for stomping and lag.

Cheers for the advice, but you missed the part where i mention it doesnt matter what server or game type and if I squad lead my squad wont get deployed, but looks like the problem is fixed now no one can get a battle, haha. Damn |

No, I didn't miss that part - you just have to set it to America and wait. Sorry, there's no better solution.
But yeah, noone can get in. Apparently there are a couple hundred people in Dust. Don't know what they're doing there, and don't know why we can't join them. I'm guessing some sort of server load. The fact we haven't heard anything from CCP means they're either working on it or haven't noticed yet.... |
