It is now Tuesday morning and no news has been reported on what the plans are if any in regards to transferring items, skills or anything to the new game. My guess is that since the new game is just a project and it may not even see the light of day (not because it is i outer space) then it is safe to bet that the end of the road for us dust player is at the end of may. I was at least hoping for a quafe suit skin transfer exclusive to dust players. Guess not. From ashes we came from and to ashes we shall return. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust but not dust to nova.. |

There is absolutely no guarantee of any of your current assets transferring and I encourage you to assume none of them will. Hopefully character names will transfer if they figure out how to validate them without PSN.
Other than that you will hopefully receive some recognition if your time in DUST, may that be a new cosmetic or whatnot, in NOVA. However, again I would play it safe and assume all assets you have, BPOs included, will not transfer over.

The only thing we've been told about this is there will be "tiered recognition rewards". Presumably this will take the form of a cosmetic.

Them making any sort of soft guarantee or statement (Even if unofficial) is completely without any ability to back up on their part.
You can not honestly expect them to tell you things will transfer when
1) Nova is a Project, not greenlit. It may not even be a game to transfer things to.
2) They aren't set in stone on what sort of skills (if any) and assets will even be in the new game.
So they may not be able to transfer things that can not transfer, and promising things will transfer at this stage will only lock them into design commitments they may be unwilling to make.
Honestly the reason they have been so vague so far is likely because they don't know what sort of structure will the game be based on in terms of gear, cosmetics, or modules. On one hand we could see something with equipment much like it is now, powercores, and skins, but we could just as easily see a radical departure from all of that to something that allows customability and flexibility.
It is hard to say which is why they don't.

I'm guessing that nothing will transfer.
It would be nice if they gave every DUST player who plays the new game "nova" a special skin or some type of recognition.

The only reasonable thing I can expect to see transfer is your name. Often times the Devs have expressed a lot of interest in keeping your identity when you transfer both for Project Legion and during the months leading up to the announcement of Project Nova. Of course, the Devs have to first be able to figure out how to do that if they are able to.
I suspect that they do have some system in place or at least the framework for such a system where your name in Dust gets transferred over to Nova. Do this as an experiment.
1. https://dust514.com/ <--------------Go to this website and log in to your PSN account there.
2. https://secure.eveonline.com/ <----------Then go here and try logging in to your Eve Online account if you happen to have one. If you don't have one, try it out anyways just for lolz.
You will likely get a message that says something like this:

You will then notice the words 'PSN User' located next to the 'Log out' option at the top right corner of the page.

PS: One more thing. Don't expect anything more than your name to transfer. This is not me telling you to HTFU. This is me advising you to not set yourself up for disappointment.

Gimme my name and a special suit skin of all sizes and races that shows I was there in DUST and we'll call it even.
It's got to be a badass suit too. None of them there generic two tone crap. Something along the lines of the Dragonfly or quafe will do.
I'd like it to also be the only skin that develops rust and debris as well as displays marks for kills.
CCP logic GÇô We fix what doesn't need breaking.

In all likelihood nothing will get transferred. However the MOTD and at the Fanfest they did say they were planning on rewarding loyal players, IIRC hinting at some sort of sliding scale based on some metrics they did not disclose. |
