This is a fresh take, and I'm very interested in how this will work. It may stay in the post-Dust game, it may not. I still want to discuss it out of interests.
If the Amarr's Sentinel will be called the Templar, I speculate that the Gallente Sentinel will be called "FreeDoom" :3.
I wonder if the Caldari's Assault will still be the long-mid range beast. I also wonder if the Minmatar's Assault will actually be the speed freaks they should've always been.
The Sharpshooter "class" for the Light dropsuits will be interesting as well. We only had like two real long range weapon, with one being more for suppression (the laser rifle) and the other being for actual precisioned kills (the actual sniper rifle).

You can't really make Minassaults faster without stepping on the toes of scouts.
That's pretty true. In that case, I wonder what they'll do to make it feel "Minmatary" other than adding rust.

Whereas the Caldari would be about range, Gallente about damage, the Minmatar could very well be able bullet hosing, rate of fire, and just generally causing havoc on as much space as possible. Part of guerilla tactics is forcing your enemy into doing what they -really- don't want to do, and there were a lot of opportunities - even for a weaker weapon like the bolt smg - to force players out of cover and into a bad situation.
This makes a lot of sense. And I guess Amarr would be precision (lasers, amirite?). Yeah, that makes sense though. Being able to unload a whole lot in a small amount of time with a viciousness only known to the collectives tribes of the Minmatar sounds fun.
