Worst possible outcome. Single race, scaled back MMO elements, no cohesive vision, no grand strategy gameplay, no connection with EVE.
The ultimate **** you Dust 514 fans from our good friends at CCP.
Hate being right. |

Remember with project Legion how we would be exploring planets across New Eden, dealing with drones and other players and finding loot?
Now we have .. Well what the **** is this? Something that manages to be less ambitious than dust 514. |

But honestly I agreed making a solid game first getting all the gameplay mechanics right and then make it bigger. It took years to make counter strike global offensive good. So far I am agreeding with their decisions but of course I hope more mmo immersion later on. Planet building etc and free roaming pve salvaging you know what I mean. All of this. While the future isn't 100% certain, remember that no one the community actually played "Legion." Everyone here can (and some already have:) played Nova.
Is there any sort of vision for this game?
At the moment all it is is "just another lobby shooter"
What is the CPMs take on this? |

All CCP had to do was say "we are working on a new game, this is the vision for it, this is where it is now, this is where we want it to be, and here is some pre alpha footage".
But nooooooi |

I'd like to get excited by Nova, but the lack of concrete details and the usual vague statement of "maybe something soon" from CCP just sounds reminds me of the last few years of Dust.
Can the CPM help? It seems that there are a number of common questions from the community that remain to be answered. What is the vision for the new game? What happened to the vision of grand warfare with an Eve connection that originally attracted us to Dust? What happens to the community once the dust servers go down?
This isn't an invitation for dust players to give us their opinions on the above questions. But an opportunity for CCP to actually talk to us, rather than just making some silly statement about "thanks for coming along for then journey", the community has valid questions and concerns, actually talking to us and addressing them would go a long way towards turning the current cynicism and skeptism towards the new project into excitement and anticipation.
Come on CCP. |

Yeah people shouldn't underestimate the impact of details like 60 FPS. Some of the planetary conquest battles in dust played like PowerPoint presentations. |
