It seems kind of empty considering we know next to nothing about how the new game is going to be handled, or even when we'll get to test it.
Seems appropriate for the 1st though.

Bad cat.
Bad.

Merc, I know it's the 1st but you've been here long enough to know better. Bad cat. Bad. Hey, in the end they're there to make money. If something looks like a good idea that would increase player retention, I don't see why not. For starters we don't even know if they're allocating more staff and funds to the new game, or if it's just going to continue to be a tiny project like it has been the past few years.
They've proven they can make money on the product without doing anything groundbreaking, so I'm skeptical that they're going to pull out the stops on the new project.
Maybe next year when they finally put out some information that we can sink our teeth into I'll consider getting enthusiastic again, but until then I don't see the point. We have 4+ years of awesome feedback and ideas here, I doubt much suggested now will be too different from the literally thousands of things we've already suggested for the game we thought we were going to get.

It wouldn't be hard to slap the current DUST on PC with higher res textures and models and work from there, if resources were a big concern. I've just done too much assuming with this game to give it any more positive energy until I see actual positive results. This game seriously has the most unreasonably loyal fanbase of any game I've ever played, so I'm certain they will continue to get plenty of feedback until that time.
All I've ever wanted was for this game to do well and get big and actually have a meaningful connection in EVE. Until I see some concrete evidence pointing in that direction, I don't think my cynicism will let me go.
And while a new engine could mean a lot of man hours, that doesn't necessarily mean more staff or funds. It could simply mean that we won't see an alpha until this time next year.

It's completely understandable. I do my best to remain cynical in the hopes I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Likely unhealthy, but here I am.

Submit your feedback and well pass it along. There's no harm in it and it's more beneficial to do so at this stage. Everything is up in the air.
I'm stubborn on principle at this point.
If you want my feedback, my feedback is to get the information out about the game ASAP. Until then it's just vaporware in my mind, which is a shame.
