And you know what I call you? A skill-less, aimless, worthless piece of junk that doesn't know how to AV and uses cheap methods to kill tanks instead of team work and dedication. You are the equivalent of a jumpy mass driver.
All you gotta do is move the opposite direction to the "Jiihaaaaaad" and it doesn't blow... Unless you're in the redzone, in which case you got 20(ish) seconds to get out and run.
One of the most fun matches I've played involved 3 of my team in tanks, while the other team had a few tanks and a constant stream of jihaads... Everyone constantly on edge, dodging and pew pewing the little jeeps, covering each others arses...
Honestly, it's easier to down a jeep with a tank, than to down a pogo scout with protato av nades. |

I think the Jihaad jeeps / manual missiles / freedom fries... Whatever you wanna call them add a very nice strategic layer to the game.
On a number of occasions I've found myself in range of a tank with my expensive LAV, I've then taken to driving straight at the tank to make them think it's a freebie designed to explode their hull, which in turn has put them off shooting me and allowed me to heal up my shields and escape.
If you're a tank and you see an LAV, you almost certainly have to suspect it's going to go for you, however you can take chances if you take note of the amount of people in the LAV, very rarely will a Jihaad bring two people along, or have a non-militia LAV.
Far more interesting than just simple pew pew-ing at each other from rooftops and redzones.
Also, the LAV takes way more skill than any other role in the game, you're literally 1 shot from death, by any weapon... Not to mention the dodgy terrain and the screwy physics, which occasionally just blow you up on a straight piece of road.
The only 0 skill is a tanker that doesn't want to watch their flanks. |

similar to the fit I use... No ammo expansion on mine, I'm more of a one man army though, drive into the main base, pop into the turret and pew pew... Stack that heavy suit with as much shields as I can (nothing but a basic nova knife as weapon.)
I prefer the small blaster, but I do bring out the rail turret when there's a few vehicles shooting back at me... Nothing more entertaining that annoying a tank by driving around it, until they get bored and assume you can't do anything to them... Then you park up behind and lay into the weak spot.

Cheap? yes it is cheap to FREE if you have a free LAV bpo & apex logi. it is FREE isk cost vs a tank that can range up to 1,350,000 isk. yea real fair isk wise.
I have a lot of respect for players who pull out real AV gear like plc, swarms, forge gun, or a scout with remotes. Even better yet they pull out a tank.
it is such a noob/BS way to kill a tank. it is like players who can not take out an ADS with real AV so the use a cheap dropship to ram them. it is such a cowards way.
Skill-less? You're not only avoiding the tanks shots, but I've also shot at jeeps with my tac-AR and watched them just explode... + everyone should be aware of their surroundings.
Aimless? An LAV doesn't fly through the air, you have to avoid rough terrain and hit at specific angles, as opposed to straight line forge or lock on swarms.
Cheap? If you use free gear, it is free... But then I haven't bought a forge gun in a long while (remember those events giving out free protato forge guns? Not to mention salvage)
It's also harder to hit an ads with a gorgon, than to use swarms (which lock and have more range than the pilots screen will render infantry from)... Those things fly like crap and most of the people trying it can't fly for **** anyway, lol.
Though in the end... Tactics are tactics, you can use any method you like as long as you achieve the desired result. |

well when they had lock on range of 175 & 200 meters yes but now at 150 & 175 an ADS can see you and stay at 185 meters with a missile turret then fire away at you with no return fire.
