I do fine in most games but seeing as siege is team based a soloist such as myself doesn't enjoy it, guess that means I lack skill
Destiny is all about what is fotm for pvp so not much of a difference from dust
I see what you're saying at this point dust takes no skill but as for gaming I really don't anymore..there's nothing I enjoy anymore..=ƒÿ¡ What you on about? Back when dust first came out it would take you a months to get 6mil sp and into a proto suit. Now you can get into a protosuit and 6mil SP in 1 day. With virtually no SP limit cap for a week and triple stacking booster. It was much harder to compete when dust first came out because you had to grind so much to get into a proto suit then you would just beat the sh*t out of the people who did not. I would much rather have 20mil sp and take on someone with 100mil sp, f*ck make it 1bil sp now. Rather than when dust was young and have 1mil sp and go up against someone with 10mil sp. Back when "Vets" played the difference between 1mil sp and 10mil SP was weeks(Months) of grinding and a militia suit and proto suit. "Vet" titles make me sick and i started playing before most others.
The vet title isnt one earned from skill or a badge of privilege. It is just stating a mere fact. If you were here at a certain timeline then you are a vet.....and nothing can be changed about it. Would be like saying youre not in the 1% if you were worth $30B.
@ Heim....i'm with you...there is no game that is enjoyable enough for me to keep my attention. I'm not going to play a game that i dont like for **** measuring puposes.

Vets back when I started in Uprising had 6 months advantage on me. My dragonfly assault was wet paper to proCal + DuvTac. I wouldn't say I was on near-level playing field until about Christmas of that year (2013). The gap was atrocious.
We think this game provides us with drama....any competition is drama. Hell, I'm starting to recognize all the top-tier diamond ranked rainbow players, because we play them regularly. The top tiers are always a smaller neckbeard community that will start to get involved within itself = drama. The MLG ladder sees many teams fold and merge or start anew, just like dust. Except for the fact that its no longer about gear grinding.
Loldivision. Wish I had purchased the hard copy, so I could at least trade it in for a controller or some sh!t.
I don't understand......Vik's post isn't a contrast to any of my points. I just said that you are a vet if you were here at a certain point in the timeline and that's fact. There's no debating it. At the same time, being a vet doesn't mean that you are skilled..all it means is that you were here from a said point. There are good vets, great vets, bad vets, scrub vets.
This thread appears to be a shot at people that aren't playing the same games that you are. I didn't want to entertain the idea that if you aren't playing Rainbow 6 or whatever, then you're a garbage FPS player. Vik made it seem like the "vet title" meant something more than what it really is and I just pointed it out and also agreed with Heim that other fps games haven't grabbed my attention span.

Which is a valid observation.
There are multiple things you could draw from this, none are mutually exclusive.
1. Dust "vets" prefer niche FPS games, and thus you don't see them in other titles
2. Dust "vets" are one trick ponies, who were only good at dust and not other games.
etc etc
At the end of the day, not much really matters. Top tier in dust was always a kind of misnomer with the small community. The smaller the pool (especially with large teams), the greater the deviation for the top tier. I
What vets are you guys referring to? Cause the vets that i know that left the game are beasts in every game that I've seen them in. MAG, BF (any of em), PS2, etc. I can go on.....players just need to accept what is.
What players left dust and are trash elsewhere? Name them...please

Loldivision. Wish I had purchased the hard copy, so I could at least trade it in for a controller or some sh!t. My point was for the competition in PC, it was all similar back then..I don't feel like naming corps so Eon/NF/Rofl/Bunnies/cronos/Loi/Orion...this was the competition sure if you joined late you'd get bent but that's how Eve games work Vet isn't skill it's how long you've been here
Dont know why guys are pinning things on sp. Back then some guys had proto suits but those are the guys that went straight for it. Sp was relatively close back then cause ccp was stingy with sp. There were no stacking boosters. Cap was 195k which you could get in one day and for the rest of the week, you were earning 1500 sp a match! Check the videos.....there were a lot of std weapons and adv gear in those matches.

Perhaps the reason that someone is performing poorly in another game (compared to another game) is because they are not enjoying playing that game and not because they are "trash".
I dont know about those players.....i could tell you that the vets we always bring up..that was running dust before they left are just as successful in other games. Its just like what Ghost said...fps skills transfer.

Noneck....would be top 5 choice, for me, if I was building the ultimate team. Only played with him a little bit enough to know his rage and side comments are insane though.

Wish I could have watched the entire match to see if he was the only one pushing..I've had those pc's..not very fun
Dust user also posted up some of the scores.......it didn't look like he was the only one pushing. But I know what it feels like to feel like you're the only one.
