While I am here, I have noticed something that I wanted to bring up and hear some opinions...
Most of you have moved on to new games. I see AE/OH on World of Tanks, along with ESO and others. Now so many are on Division.
Let me ask you guys this. You all sit here and talk about who was the greatest, is the greatest, whatever. Best shooters and gun game. Where are all you scrubs on Rainbow? on Rocket? These dust stories and web series, you guys say nothing matters after the vets left. I challenge that wholeheartedly. Dust was/is an mmorpg. Things are OP, based on skill/grinding/gear/etc. How come none of you can transfer this "skill" you claim to have, to a game that does not allow you to grind your way to having a clear competitive advantage over your opponents? Instead, you move on to another mmorpg, where you can smash hobby noobs who simply don't have the time to get what you have. Or you can devise an OP setup that puts you in front of someone who, in fact, is skillfully better than you.
After getting away from Dust and returning to my Gamebattles/MLG roots, it dawned on me how much time I wasted on a game that was not based on skill - but on time, on meta. Obviously skill plays a role, but seriously? I really expected to see many of the titans from Dust flock to what is clearly the most evenly-matched competitive titles out there. But sadly, I see none.
When I say I played Dust514 to a competitive gamer, am I pretty much saying I played World of Tanks for 2 1/2 years? I spent $60 on Division....made it to like level 20. Garbage gear grind. Grand Theft Assassin's Borderland Destiny.

While you were bragging about how MLG you are you forgot to mention your losing record in said "gamebattles" and the fact that you get dunked on by DK in rocket league.
TLDR: piked
Don't think I was bragging. Yep, losing record in our first season. Feel free to look us up. Certainly better players out there than I.
No one I know outside of Viet dunks on me, ever. Especially not your penguin @ss. PIKED

Heimdallr69 wrote:Difference is when the vets played the playing field was closer..I had 6m sp now 82..the disparity in sp you see now wasn't a big deal back then.. I do fine in most games but seeing as siege is team based a soloist such as myself doesn't enjoy it, guess that means I lack skill
Destiny is all about what is fotm for pvp so not much of a difference from dust
I see what you're saying at this point dust takes no skill but as for gaming I really don't anymore..there's nothing I enjoy anymore..=ƒÿ¡
If you had Rainbow on ps4 we have open spots here and there, more than welcome. If the vets I know share my same sentiments, what kept us coming back to dust was the rush of a PC. Let me tell you this - being in a Gamebattle on Rainbow is, by utter leaps and bounds, the MOST intense moments of gameplay anyone can experience.

Plat 3/Diamond on Siege Kaisar, over 100 hours logged as sledge. Check out my youtube channel for hammer kills in ranked matches. I've got tons of footage I still need to trim/upload, but the link below will give you an idea. College definitely takes time away, I'm pretty much in the same boat.
Hammer of Justice
For Rocket Badger, Silver ranked last season...just placed Challenger III for Doubles/Standard. About to hit Master neckbeard. I'll add you later, long as you aren't a penguin
Kalante check out the DOOM freeze-tag MP gamemode....enjoy
Agreed though OP, it just made sense to see gun-game inclined players transfer to the next tier. Sigh, I digress.

Yeaaa sorry heim/dubbs...but vik is 100% correct.
Vets back when I started in Uprising had 6 months advantage on me. My dragonfly assault was wet paper to proCal + DuvTac. I wouldn't say I was on near-level playing field until about Christmas of that year (2013). The gap was atrocious.
We think this game provides us with drama....any competition is drama. Hell, I'm starting to recognize all the top-tier diamond ranked rainbow players, because we play them regularly. The top tiers are always a smaller neckbeard community that will start to get involved within itself = drama. The MLG ladder sees many teams fold and merge or start anew, just like dust. Except for the fact that its no longer about gear grinding.
Loldivision. Wish I had purchased the hard copy, so I could at least trade it in for a controller or some sh!t.

Wasn't taking shots, just simply stating what appears to be fact - as literally no one has replied with a PSN/GB team, or even an acknowledgement/vouch for someone who IS participating at a high level elsewhere.
Although I know many probably don't check these forums at this point, I thought I would have at least ran into people on other titles competing.
I understand your point dubbs on the cap being lower, but think about it....beta players had from, what does dustboard say, January 11th??? to neckbeard that cap weekly until Uprising (May something). That's nearly 6 months, amounting to roughly 5-6mil sp: an enormous gap between that and 500k.
Ghost hit it perfectly. Albeit we can all agree I wasn't anything special on Dust, I would love to see how my old rivals stack up now.

aa324 wrote: The reason why you have not been seeing similar performance levels on other games is because DUST was a pretty simple FPS with a very small community in comparison to other video games of it's category.
Some of the vets I've spoken to have noted that Regnyum is amazing at DUST, easily one of the top players, but when playing COD (I think COD was the specific game mentioned by this person) Regnyum wasn't nearly at the same performance level compared to DUST.
That's just a great example and quote from one of the older well respected vets in the game.
Appreciate the compliment, whoever you are.
Honestly, this is one guy I would have liked to see on level field....considering the insurmountable amount of sh!t he talked about/towards my organization when he was a member of the incumbent. Between us two, if this is indeed true, it explains alot....as it would with many others (again, reference Kaiser "one-trick pony"). Even some of my own friends who were DUST legends admit how badly they get rekt on rainbow.
Don't mistake my competitive spirit for bitterness - it is simply comical too see how loud a rooster crows, when surrounded by mere hens.
One cool takeaway from all this is the transfer over from DUST. Our team consists of 90% players from DUST (Kalash, Silver, Alias, MMG, Solar, Zstorm, DK), the remainder some old GB friends. Our name is a respectful nod to the trials and tribulations we all faced for 3 years - Working As Intended. Hopefully we can climb out of our current Bad News Bears status on the team ladder. As much BS as we all put up with from CCP, the bonds made are invaluable.
