Easy ways of communication. How hard is this?i can think of multiple multiplayer co-op games that would have ecxelled with only a simple text chat system.
Depth. Dust is probably more rpg than most rpg out on market.
Truly dystopian futuristic athmospehere. If your game doesnt gave a plasma rifle, it better have a personal minigun. Dust has both.
Totally unfair system of risk vs reward. lol
Beatiful hologram girl with impossible attributes in personal merc quarter.
Last but not least is the super competive gameplay. As long as the game works that is.
And you will know me by the trail of vomit.

The good bits of Dust really are and can be great. It was always held back by bugs, issues and unintended consequences.
Here is to hoping that the next EVE New Eden FPS-RPG notdust 2.514, is even better.

I also love the knives.
Other games have them, but stick those automatic cut scenes in, and it really kind of makes them less special.
Dust made them their own thing, and based it on skill and Hit Detection (even though that was broken sometimes). They weren't just something everyone had, and you had to sacrifice a weapons slot in order to use them, and even a primary weapon if you wanted to be the default weapon.
I am afraid I will not find anything so unique and rewarding in any game.

You forgot the max 3 Devs per game. I mean yeah, there is some on spotlight, I doubt they do any real work.
