I have just finished maxing armor optimization to 5 and I have large blaster optimization to 3, as well as damage mod optimization to 3.
With this skills, I have enough space to fit all my fits with double hardeners (to their own tier) except one of my fits.
That fit is- Madrugar Gv.o 80g ion cannon 2 basic rail guns Complex fuel injector Complex heat sink Complex damage mod Complex 120 plate Complex heavy rep Complex armor hardener Complex ammo expansion (a whopping 1k+ ammo!!!)
Id do this through protofits.com but it hasn't been updated with recent info so it won't be correct. So best option is to ask those who have these skills maxed.
Assuming you fit your tank like so, are you able to fit an advanced hardener with blaster/damage mod optimization to 5? Also, if you swap out the heat sink for a complex scanner, can you fit a secind proto hardener or at least and advanced?
On the scanner version, I have enough space To fit a basic second hardener.
Double hardeners are amazing. Since I've gotten my skills on optimization to make save for them. I've died a lot less and have been getting scores like 15/0, as opposed to running only one hardener before, where I would die rather quickly when hardener went out.

I'm afraid I've n00bed out seeing as I haven't got my Large Blaster Fitting Optimisation maxed out, but it seems like it might not fit anyway or if it does it'll be very, very tight!
I need 900k SP to finish the test off for you, but I really don't see myself hitting that amount any time soon. We will have to get a real tanker to verify this.
Sorry.

Doing the math you should be able to with that since the ammo expansion is there.
But I will say this, honestly the Advanced armor plate will do you just fine. IF you have two armor reps and or Hardeners. I personally prefer two Armor Repairs and two Hardeners but for the sake of the fit I'd say go with An Advanced plate, 2 complex armor Hardener and a Complex armor repair with your ammo if you really want it.
If you have a blaster tank then I'd strongly suggest both a Heat Sink and a Damage mod with a basic injector for the highs lots.
That basic injector gives you just the spend and time you need to get out of a situation but don't use it sparingly. I've got the cool down and duration mods that slightly make it better but still, escape situations only for that module.
With the basic fuel injector and some to no small rail gun optimization skills you'd be able to have both mentioned fits.

Although, am I the only one that uses fuel injectors aside from escaping?
They are a great 1v1, trying to ram the enemy and get under/over them to a better position/avoid fire, and with longer time for the pro, you can still escape.

Build armor tanks from the lows up.
With large and small turret fitting optimization at 5 you can fit the following:
80gj Ion 2x Std railguns
Complex repper 2x Complex Hardener Enhanced plate
Complex Heat Sink Complex Blaster damage mod Basic prop mod.
But if you want to fight infantry, the Blaster fit gunloggi is much better.

Yo, I have all vehicles optimization at 5 and for your fit, it's impossible to put all your modules in complex with 2 complex hardener.
Your fit is a versatile role blaster tank, so you can't have the best regeneration and the best eHP at the same time.
I advise you to replace your complex injector for an enhanced injector. It's the best compromise PG/CPU/efficiency for this type of module.
Moreover, if you put a damage mod, it's to be more efficient against vehicles, and in general the winner in 1vs1 is the player with the more eHP, the regeneration is not enough hight to make the difference so: keep your 120mm complex plate, and put a basic heavy armor repair. If you have the bonus repair skill at level 5, it's good and enough.
The two complex hardener is an obligation in reality, don't try to make compromise on.
If you want a better fit against infantry (but less against vehicles, in general it's very hard to win if it's a good AV vehicle, you must run away with lol), speed, with a good regen, and a good vision:
Gv.0 Ion Blaster 80 Std secondary railgun turret 2 complex hardener 120mm enhanced plate 1 complex heavy armor repair 1 complex injector 1 complex heat sink 1 complex scanner
Good luck. o7

I have to say, I've fallen I love with this fit-
Madrugar Gv.0 80gj Ion Cannon 2 basic railguns Complex fuel injector Complex blaster damage mod Complex heat sink Complex armor hardener Enhanced armor plate Enhanced heavy armor repairer Basic heavy armor repairer.
My favorite up to date, best against infantry of all fits I've tried and great against tanks.
I have recharge/time skills for mods to lvl 3 and I can pretty much use all mods when I need them. I'd fit a second enhanced heavy rep but it takes up just a little more space to fit than I can. Still need to skill some fitting optimization skills from blaster and damage mods to fit it (both currently at lvl 3)

And next, double plate, rep and hardener. All with basic tanks though. More fitting space. I used fuel injectors on all my tanks so no wankers could run back to their redline |

Yep thats pretty close to my fit.
I have everything to do with vehicles all solid lvl 5 and just wanted to say once you get those optimizations lvl 5 your going to be laughing :) Good luck getting there before the game closes i hope you get to experience it, very powerful and effective.
I usually use the madurk i really hate those goofs that get in my madrugar and do nothing.
Dont ask why but the madurk just seems 5x more effective if your solo tanking..
I am not saying you are going to like it, just a personal preference. plus it gets rid of those 2 secondary stock blasters/ railguns and the cpu and pg they eat up. You just really need lvl optimization across everything you use on your tank. The only way the madurk worked for me was when i hit solid lvl 5 on everything.
Other than that your setup seems just fine to me.

You are better off running a maddy with two militia blasters than driving a marduk.

Don't tank? lolol...
When ur solid lvl 5 everything, you can fit all that you need on the madurk and yes it becomes more effective than that hunk of junk maddy with annoying as f gunner seats.
You just need to learn how to read, solid lvl 5 is the key for madurks...
I am thinking you are one of those people that got it to lvl 3 everything and said this thing suck well its a beast at solid lvl 5.
I have gone 55/0 with it and a friend sarget encko i seen go 71/2 with it now how can you call me wrong?
You probably are just not the best tanker to learn from.
Tell me why do i always see duna2002 with the madurk and the blaster? Hmm because they like me know what the heck we are talking about.
But yeah keep your maddys lolol...

You are a fool.
The Marduk has less fitting.
When you have all the turret ops to 5, large and small, the Madrugar has more fitting than the Marduk. Period. If you don't know this, you are not qualified to talk about tanks.
You cannot fit the same amount of tank or damage on a Marduk as you can on a Madrugar with the same skills. When you add in that a blue dot can get in and in 1 fight in 1000 help you out, makes it even more lopsided.
You see duna in a marduk because he is bad. Anyone who can do math would be in a Madrugar, because you don't lose anything running one, and you get higher dps, a better tank, or both.
You clearly haven't done the necessary building. You commenting on tanks has made me laugh. Congrats on putting up a good game. I bet it was the highlight of your career.
BTW, I did a 78-0 in a shield missile tank, but that clearly doesn't make it the best tank to use.

If I remember my fit correctly, It used to be like this :
Madrugar gv.0 (vs infantry)
Ion Cannon Complex Hard Enhanced Hard Complex 120mm plate
Complex Scanner Complex Damage Complex Nitro
2x basic rails or blasters. Can't remember.
You are hardened 24/7, you scan 90% of enemies, damage mod for killing fatties.
Ps. To "jett it" . The more SP you put in vehicles, the better Madrugar is. Only a moron would ride in Madruk gv.0

Meh. problem would be sacrificing total hp/hardened hp. With only 2 high slots for shields, I can choose high hp, mid hp and hardener, or 2 hardeners. I could put armor on the low but now I have to choose between rep or hardener, with either one not being effective without the other. And as I have experienced lately using this fit, I can take out a huge chunk of hp before hardeners kick in. And if only one hardener is present, I have still melted through with little difficulty (pesky swarms have cause almost all of my losses so far)
Next, I still have to skill blaster/damage optimization to 4 and 5. I also can swap out that basic cpu for a complex and skill small rail optimization. I'm not exactly sure but i think I could fit 2 advanced small rails, doubtfully, but maybe one complex too. So I can do more damage than the gunny fit while keeping high armor, rep, and hardener.

Except you don't have High rep, armor or toughness. Single complex plate makes you slow, and super easy to run down for a scout. No prob mod means you can't GTFO when you need to. Single rep, single hardener puts a low cap on how much and how long you can tank.
You are trading tank for gank, and on that front, a maddy can't match a 'loggi.
You seem to be really focused on getting maximum DPS, and I can't say I really agree with that idea. More often than not, in the event that you make yourself enough of a problem, you will end up with a full squad of AV on you. They will come by LAV, and will pack more than enough DPS to end your fit. It won't be hard. All they have to do is hit you with swarms once, and then wait 40 seconds then nuke you when your hardener drops.
Like I said before, build armor tanks from the lows up. Build your tank first, then stuff as much gank as you can fit.
