I'm in game at the moment and I've been trying for over an hour now to get info faction contracts and I keep getting the same message that there was an error. I'm talking to someone in local chat and they are saying that faction contracts were ended shortly after the release of the letter with the end date for the game. Is this true, and if so, can someone reply with a link to where I might read this information for myself? |

The faction timer does not show unless a match has been started meaning 16 people searched on each side at the same time.
In the entire history since the new system was put in place people have told people that 0:00 means factional is turned off.
If you really want to play factional you will need to round up 32 people and have 16 search on each side to force the system to start a match. Think of it as a free PC battle with friends. |

yes, factions no longer fight each other since sver won the shadow war, go home!

I know where there are some but not all!
go to the MAG archives thread on the Playstation forums just google MAG forums, find a long thread by STYLIE 77 and it has some MAG maps on there somewhere.

I really am disgusted at the way pubs have become slugfests in which noobs haven't a hope of getting anywhere. I really want to see the pros back in FW where they belong. I just can't get my head around why people are doing this. |

The only real way to get people to start queuing for factional contracts again is to do what I stated in this thread.
Agreed about feeling sorry for any new players that are just getting into the game; getting proto-stomped in the early days was not fun and now everyone is using proto/officer gear 24/7; I really feel for them. On the plus side it makes games for some really good matches!
On regards to why people are not queuing for factional contracts? Its really just down to that the game is ending and everyone is trying to get rid of all their ISK and officer gear, not earn more LP to accumulate more stuff.
Anyway if you haven't realised already CCP have removed the LP store items from the market, meaning if you haven't already got any faction items fitted or in sock in your inventory to restock through the fitting screen; there is no way for you to purchase said faction items.

Why fight for LP? Most vets have enough LP gear to last them well beyond the shutdown. I personally have 2000 LP uplinks, and even if I put them on all my dropships, I wouldn't even use up a quarter of them.
There is no reason to build up stocks of anything. Most vets are burning through their stuff, not trying to get more.
