And yet.... I have to wonder. When a game updates, how the hell would you synchronize the patch dates? Microsoft certification is notoriously pathetic. They tend to do this already with Fallout 4, at least with regards to the XBox and PS4. The PC gets an earlier beta patch o believe.

How they handle FPS cross play, if it is done at all, should be interesting.

And thats usually the best way of making it work. Store game-specific names on game-specific servers.
Regardless, I'm happy that MS is killing their closed network policy. It was absolutely ridiculous. More reason for a console port of Phoenix.

As we've already discussed many times, there is no way to account for the control discrepancy between console and PC, and any attempt at doing so will alienate both sides. The most popular version of Dust that ever existed still disagrees with you. Don't really know why your argument is still made when it's been proven it isn't the case. Proper aim assist and character movement speeds solves everything. But this version has horrible KBM support because they didn't want it to be an advantage over the largest portion of the population that uses controllers.
For many PC players, I am sure they would resent having to use controllers to be competitive.
I have yetvto know any FPS that has been able to create an even playing field. It seems that one method of control always has to be significantly inferior.
