A little over a week ago my PS3 super slim unexpectedly died on me and as a result I lost my 912* daily login record... some searching on the internet led me to believe the cause is a power issue that is apparently fixable by buying a replacement part, I initially intended to but as the week went on I decided against it because I realized I had no lingering attachments to my PS3 and have decided to move on. I will miss playing with my internet friends but hopefully I'll be able to do so again in the near future.
I've been playing DUST for like 3 or 4 years now (sorry, I can't remember the exact time period). I participated in the end game (though I didn't enjoy it), played every role and was mostly an unknown solo player, I played mostly with BPO gear and only decided on actively using my amassed proto/exp/officer gear when the end was announced so I had more then I could ever hope to burn, I occasionally dropped by Alpha's Supply Depot to sell some gear I couldn't or didn't want to use.
Though I began as a Logi (a true n00b I was xD) I developed mostly as a scout and ended my "career" as a Sentinel as I amassed SP in the end and only realized that a Sentinel required intense investment that I previously couldn't afford to give it. I'd say I did pretty well and I'm overall satisfied with what I achieved during my time as a DUST 514 Mercenary . My favorite weapons were the Assault Rifle and Nova Knives and oddly enough I enjoyed running them more on a galscout than on my ninja (keep calm Dreis ) also because Scotty loved pairing me with teams with low uplink counts I ended up using Viziam and N/11 Flux Drop Uplinks on most of my fits, though I didn't mind most of the time.
It was a pretty long run. Thank's to all the mercs I ever played with/against over the years and a special thank's to you guys at CCP. Thank you for letting so many take part of this game that, even with all of its faults, we all came to love so dedicatedly for so long. I do hope that whatever it is you decide on in the future works out well for you and that you do not take what you've learned while developing this game for granted, this game was and I believe still is worth it. May we meet again someday, somewhere in the vast space of New Eden.
-Just one more DUST 514 Mercenary, signing out o7
