like dude... politics in a shooter do you know how ridiculous it's always been to point and laugh at all you CEO types?
im just glad people were always there to worry about that **** for me so i could win PCs. because holy **** the **** you guys have to put up with is just way over my head. especially when PC was dominated by the elite with more ISK and mostly no one else could participate
this game is a ******* trip and it was a hell of a ride going from the shittiest minmatar logi in the game 2 and a half years ago all the way up to the classic "logi scout or heavy." its really one of those games you can just lose yourself in. like it or not this isn't just a shooter it's an MMORPG... |

I've never gotten into the politics/dictators part of DUST514, I'm more the either you're going to die or am i part. Yeah i agree with you there, I'm not a authority? type, no idea what to do in a position like that. In the losing yourself part i can relate, I'm just happy to be in the action, not directin it.
Props to people in charge still, and to the boots on the ground 07. Personally it was always 'scout or scout' for me, paid off to be specialist i guess. Who is your main the suspense is killing me!

The actual gameplay of dust has always been crap and the politics is what made this game fun.

If you like playing pubs, then there is no need for CEOs,meetings and leadership. Pretty much it would be like playing COD.
This game is suppose to be a large strategy game. So leaders and alliances ate needed. It started out all legit. Then our numbers depleted. So..you can pretty much thank all the CEOS and leaders for keeping this game going an extra year and a half. We created fake drama and fights just so our teams could play.
It's a thankless Job. Loved it.

As long as you're not in leadership just to farm then it's fun..watching as the Corp grows and continues to get better..leadership does come with a lot of drama..I have no issues with it |

We totally don't give a damn about the dust community, and for reasons I won't get into, we never will.

^That^
The only limitations on players participating in PC were the ones they instituted on themselves. For all the hoopla about people being kicked out of PC those people always had every opportunity they created for themselves to return. Which is why so many players and corps had that cycle, "kicked" and then eventually back in.
There's a very very strong case to be made based on the timing of the events and the playerbase numbers that the minute the cryhards got PC changed to the CP/DK system the hemmorage of playerbase increased 10 fold. ****** up part is that the CP/DK structure made it ridiculously easy to PC while at the same time removed the individual reward for PCing (fat ISK pay) and replaced it with CP the individual merc can't use, only his corporate leadership can. You cried, removed your own incentive, consolidated the ability to act in MH and now cry again that you can't PC. GG and GBFW.

I'm definitely proud to say that I'm the oldest member of EB who still logs on, and that every ISK tax, Kill, Death, War Point, Win and Loss was for EB.

Pretty much dude. I mean I'd argue right around the time I stopped playing the balance was perfect, this was around the point when they first introduced the new maps, and the rail rifle was on a tight leash.
But other than that? **** yeah the game was always unbalanced, especially now where the only winning strategy is myofibrils on assaults, and very specific officer gear.
Whatever happened to DS the Drunk Heavy anyway?

Strangely enough i've played 100's of PC battles maybe 1,000+, we could just say countless. Had far fewer meetings but as time goes by the video game meetings are the ones i remember the most.
