They did a good job in the end balancing most of these things... CCP just needs to get the details nailed down better next time. I don't want Dust 2.0 to only have city and bridge maps in PC. I don't want someone who runs Amarr Commando or something to be discouraged from playing PC.
Don't worry the community is actually just that awful now that you can have fun. Not much to do with ccp balancing
