Last time I played against him he was running in a Proto squad and jumping 20 feet into the air every time you would engage him in some CQC.
I will say though that he wasn't using a mass driver in combination with the jumpiness so I will give him credit for not embracing the full on easymode in this game.

Last time I played he was in a proto tank. Killed the tank and then plasma'd him in the head.

The redline was never the issue. It was that you can score points from in the redline and also that you can score shooting into the redline. If you want points, you should have to leave the redline..
