Well worded, and good to see a post like this coming from a veteran player. 90% of them that I see defend the unbalanced gameplay. If only CCP would read this thread...

What game are you going to move on to?

I downloaded Defiance last week but I have not played it yet.

first game today, enemy nowhere to be seen, about 2 people coming out of the redline.
2nd game, my team getting destroyed, enemy team camping on roofs with forge guns
third game, 10v10, my team goes nowhere near the objective and gets spawn camped

yes that is a sample size of 3 but I have played 1000s of games, we all know that a lot of games are like this, they are NOT 16v16, some people are always hiding, the games are almost always unbalanced, it's very commonplace for teams to be pushed out to 150m from the objective.

I cannot seriously believe that, at this point in the game with so little time left, people are STILL happy to hide in the redline with a railtank or hide on the roof with a forge gun.

isn't the point of online games to interact with other people? not hide from them.

CCP, if you make the next game have pointlessly huge maps, easy access to every rooftop, one hit kill weapons and games launching half-full, it will fail spectacularly.

Anyway no-one on my friends list is playing DUST, there is no-one in the chat rooms, all games are half empty.

That will do it for me, DUST has been fun guys but right now is so boring to play it's like a chore trying to find a decent match. I'd rather leave on a high note with good memories than painfully try to salvage the last bit of fun out of DUST with the very small amount of people who are still playing.

DUST has always had extremely apathetic players who seem to not give two hoots about trying, instead resorting to hiding, one hit kills weapons and the scrubbiest tactics known to man.

What game puts new players against veteran players with more hp, better reload, more ammo, more damage, more speed, better precision, better range, better dampening, higher rate of fire and makes ZERO effort to separate those players?

What online game gives you such open access to all rooftops in the game? Almost all domination games devolve into roof-camping and yes it is player choice but it's made so easy for them that it is clearly a fault in the game design.

You tried CCP but ultimately, not listening and not fixing bugs which have been in the game for years was the demise of this game. You had an INSANELY devoted playerbase who individually dropped thousands into this game and you couldn't even be bothered to fix glitches and bugs which were driving people crazy like getting stuck on the victory screen, guys, that's unacceptable, it's like you're just laughing at them.

You also did nothing for the competitive scene, since the beginning PC game performance has been unacceptable, yet where is the admission from the devs? Nowhere.

When you start the new game separate the players when you have the playerbase to do so! You will have a big playerbase at launch because it's new and I assume it will be free. You let it go on for so long, the newbro stomping, that there isn't the playerbase (and hasn't been for a long time) to separate the players and keep all those brackets full of players

do you notice how everyone who said we need some kind of meta lock, tier based matchmaking etc has left? Because it annoyed them so much that they couldn't be bothered anymore.

CCP if you could actually know the amount of people who grew sick and tired of you and left this game out of frustration you would be astounded, I trust you will do better next time, as you have learned a lot, and so have we.

o7 you sexy people, there's no point getting frustrated anymore or complaining about how someone else wants to play the game, all I know is, this is a waste of time for me, I'm not having fun and having fun is the reason you play video games, if there's no fun to be had then just quit.

It was a lot of fun and my 2nd favourite FPS game next to MAG, DUST would definitely be in my top 10 from 20 years of gaming.

It's time to leave on a high note, I'm sure everyone has seen enough of the same pub match being played, there's nothing new to do with officer gear, there's nothing else I can bring to the table.

My computer is ruined unless resetting it fixes it, my software (sony vegas) is completely broken, corrupt, won't uninstall or install, but I have a lot of DUST footage so I will make one big finale video out of all that footage.

I'm not going to biomass, use or sell my gear, or spend/give away my ISK because who knows if it will come in handy in the new game, wouldn't you be so annoyed if it helped you in the new game but you biomassed and lost it all? I'm sure a lot of you will let your characters die when the game is shut down and so will I, just to say that I stuck it out from closed beta all the way until the end.

I'm singing out now, my other 3 accounts are perma-banned, I'm not going to log on with this one to the forums, DUST will be deleted too because it will be nice to focus on other aspects of my life, I'm not sure what my Youtube channel is going to consist of now but there will be one final DUST video when I get my PC sorted, and any old videos I forgot to upload if there are any saved,

hey dude! I have defiance, it's not my main game as I've had some bugs, AI problems and frame rate problems and server problems which have put me off BUT it is a good game, just a little shaky.

No idea how much it will improve in that aspect as it's been free to play for 2 years however it's quite deep, from the surface anyway, it is fun and it is FREE

my PSN is Sketcher__ I haven't been on defiance in a while but it would be better to group with people, I'm going to see if someone created the DUST clan on Defiance yet, but if not I'm going to make it.
