BUT THERE'S A TWIST
Every time I pull the cable out and put it back in, it gets damaged! Yeah! So now, after throwing one cable away and buying a brand new one because of this, the brand new one is causing me problems aswell!
This is one of the reasons I'm no longer playing Dust, or any PS3 games.
I'm sure you wanna know what the problem is... Well, as the cable gets more and more damaged, the frequency of the screen disappearing for 1.5 seconds increases. This didn't happen when the cable was brand new, so I know it's the cable's fault.
HDMI cables are gold plated apparently, but the gold just gets scratched away and all is left is the metal below it, which apparently isn't such a good conductor of signal, so both the picture and the sound disappear for 1.5 seconds.
Just felt like I had to share this with y'all, perhaps some of you have a solution to this, apart from just not pulling the cable in and out all the time.
If you've read through all this and can't help, sorry for wasting your time. By the way though, this is probably one of the longest posts I posted lol, and I'm not so good at making long posts, so, yay me! \o/ Seriously? You are using HDTV SPEAKERS??? EEEWWWWW LOL!! B i t c h .......please!!! Heres a FIX!!! Prepare to be raised from video scrubbery. RECEIVER!!! HDMI RECEIVER!!!! Plug in the hdmi OUT from your PS4, PC, laptop, PS3, extra PS4 to your RECEIVERS HDMI IN!!! VIDEO signal goes from the RECEIVER to your HDTV AUDIO signal goes from your RECEIVER to your Home THEATER speakers i.e. left, center, right, surround right, surround left, subwoofer or preferably subwoofers. Hope this helps. Seriously visit the Audio Video Science forum to get extra info. Haha noob I have headphones, full ear-covering headset actually, great sound.

If the vga isn't working then you need to probably enable the on-board graphics, if it is the motherboard that has it of course. My GPU doesn't have a VGA port, it has something about the same size but differently shaped and an HDMI port, and the VGA port which is supposed to be connected to the motherboard sadly isn't connected... Ah, a DVI port. You can get a vga-dvi cable but I'm not sure how much they are You mean like a DVI to VGA adapter? I'll have to look for that... thanks.

Don't just yank it out by shaft. You have to gently ease it out by grasping the head.

Great sound? from headphones? lol!! Headphones are only semi ok for shooters or when not wanting to disturb others.
For everything else a true home theater system beats headphones every time.
Ha ha only noobs use headphones for all sounds when a true home theater is a much better option with todays digital audio in DTS 7.1 |

@fragger mike do you think vga is not HD?
No, I meant it can't pass thru High-Def content, such as blue-ray.... or so it is my understanding. Never have tested it tho, the only blue-ray drive I've got is in the PS3, and no vga from that.
Feel free to enlighten me, always welcome better understanding of anything
