Please don't transfer the Sp. .....I love the grind
No isk......no need to explain
No BPO'S
Nothing. Not even names. Let it be a brand new experience for everyone. I can't agree with you on names. That would be killing the community.
I am fine with starting from scratch on everything else, but reputation should carry over, and reputation is tied to your name.

Summa Militum wrote:Also, I'm pretty sure it would be a good idea for the new game not to have any BPOs whatsoever. Or to make BPOs a recipe for crafting, rather than an unlimited supply of the item.
In EVE a BPO simply allows you to make the item, but you still need to gather or buy the raw materials. That is a much better way to integrate them into the economy than simply having BPOs be an unlimited supply of an item as they were in DUST.

I don't need someone else named lightning delta.
I spent weeks trying I get my Quafe set and standard Gallente BPO set (which I'm still missing logistics)
Almost 3 years for my sp.
Agreed, I'm not starting from scratch. If CCP is gracious enough to transfer a mercs assets and people only want to keep one's name, file a ticket and ask the Powers that be to clean your slate. Leave mine alone. I'm not going to start over, especially without my BPOs. If they transfer everyone's stuff, I will just start a new character to experience starting from scratch in the new game, but then I will go back to Fox Gaden, because that is the name people know me by.
I have done that a few times in DUST already.

Trooper X wrote:When the new game is released, the only things i'd like/hope to see transfered is...
1. Name / Corporation Name
2. Skins (as they are purely cosmetic and skins are also in EVE, so why not...)
3. Quafe Weapons (Debateable - they are the basic bob weapons and although at the beginning they might prove to be an advantage. It wouldn't stay that way for long, as new players start to acrue items too)
thats it...
No SP or ISK, a clean slate for all... From a marketing standpoint, new players seeing the Vets warring the cool old skins will want to buy skins too...

Alena Asakura wrote:As an EvE player, I expect persistence and continuance, therefore I expected a port of Dust to another platform. I'm not interested in a transfer to another platform unless the new game has as much of what can be ported into it as possible. I only have 20mill SP, so it's not that I want to start "level" with the best - it's because we need the game to continue being as diverse as it is right now.
Even if we started from scratch right now, in 2 to 3 years time, we would have 3 year vets running proto and noobs running starter fits again. Only then would the game get back to being what it is now. Start from scratch and we lose all that diversity.
EvE players would know what I'm getting at and I'm sure CCP would probably lean more in my direction for the same reason. Dust players don't get it because they think that what Dust is now is all it will be. That's completely wrong. Once properly part of the EvE universe, the game would be free to expand infinitely. If it was a direct port I would want us to keep out stuff. However, it is a new game on a related theme, rather than a direct port. It will probably have reviving clone solders though. So it is reasonable to port the characters if not our stuff.
If you want an RP explanation: the major Factions signed a treaty to ban immortal solders, and they took all our stuff (the bastards!) and we were banished to some sort of data storage. Then something caused them to start up the program again, so some of the Vets got downloaded into new clones, but no one bothered to give us our stuff back.
I would expect more persistence on the PC FPS, as it is more conducive to long term evolution of a game.
