Bax Zanith wrote:That does bring up a good point. Everyone is going proto, and I'll have to do the same to survive, but my only proto suit is a sentinel... I think I'm screwed no matter what I do, so I think I'll stay out as well. Yes, everyone is going proto. I have no real proto suits, only State LP BPOs, Rasetsu, Hawk, Shogun and Samurai. And I have access to State ck.0 Assaults, Logis and Scouts but with CFW all but dead, that will run out quickly.
So I'm reduced to using them sparingly and running starter and LP BPOs when the real stompers are around. If I don't do that, all my proto suits will run out and I'll have to run ADV instead. Then people will complain that I'm not running proto! :( |

Gg. Someone really hates me... What have I done to deserve this? Should I cry now and kill myself? I never used proto, I DON'T HAVE proto... I DON'T LIKE proto... 64m SP and no proto suits, yes, I'm one of a kind. I run exclusively basic and standard gear, sometimes advanced. That's typically me - BPOs all the way.
Running suits that run out feels sort of needlessly wasteful to me. I don't mind running a ck.0 Assault or Logi while I'm not dying, but as soon as I come up against people who I know I'm just going to keep dying to, I switch to BPOs, and usually just stay there the rest of the day. |

I'll be hangin' around the forums and will join the Quafe battle in May but that's about it, see you in the next game. All the Officer/Experimental/Proto being run in matches right now is awesome. I have been getting a lot of awesome matches recently. Yeah, you people in your proto suits have fun, you invested you SP well, while I decided to try out more suits at the expense of not being able to go proto. I run standard, so I'm out. Not buying it. Even with my taking a break for 6 months, and never running boosters, I have enough SP for perfect vehicle skills, 3 proto suits and strong core skills. Lying to justify your inability to hack fighting in matches that resemble PC in gear but not tactics just shows how much of a pubscrubs you are. I'm glad that once you found out you weren't half as good as you thought you were, you quit. Really shows what type of boy you are. What makes you think he even knows how to fit such suits? If he's never run them, he wouldn't know. I myself only just recently started trying to fit ck.0 suits because I knew we were finishing and I wanted the experience of running them. I'm learning a lot very quickly. But if you don't actually have the SP allocated correctly for proto suits, you will have great difficulty fitting them. I'm only now getting level 5 shield skills, for instance, and actually only have level 3 on the suits, so my ck.0 suits are largely Neo or State suits. They'll quickly run out... |

Ho ho ho, you think you have the RIGHT to insult me, just because you can't believe I have no proto suits at 64m SP? Who tf gave you access to the internet... people like you shouldn't be alive, I'm dead serious. How can you just start insulting me just because of something you THINK? I have no proto suits, I have all of the suits at basic level and some at advanced, I can't keep up with these scrubs in officer, the game is no longer enjoyable for me, so I give up, who tf do you think you are... piece of ****. This is why I leave so many matches. Why should I keep playing when I'm not enjoying it? |

I got a refurbished SuperSlim PS3, just for the flash memory drive in it, to deal with disk lag. I only did that a few months ago. Perhaps not the most timely purchase I've ever made.... |

According to my definition of scrubs - players who do anything to win - yes, the proto stompers are scrubs. But they get their just deserts - noone will play against them. So they cry about people leaving matches.... |

Crybaby... I quit because the game is no longer fun, **** you and whoever invented you. Quitting dust? Yet you seem hyped for the DUST 2.0 for PC..... Just letting you know that competitive PC players will make you quit 10x harder than you quit DUST 514. Bring it on! If Dust 2.0 on PC is anything like EvE and not the pathetic FPS it is on PS3, it will be wonderful to play it. |

But if we start with the SP we have already, then it will be a completely different state of affairs. I firmly believe the diversity of skills inherent in the range of SP that we all have needs to be preserved so that Dust 2.0 when it starts is more like what it will be 2 or 3 years down the track. |

Not if we all start with the same amount of SP. Skill points have nothing to do with what I am talking about. I am referring to how competitive PC Gamers are compared to Console Bred Gamers. If you think the stomping was bad in DUST 514, just wait till every player you face has their WASDs to level 5. If hit detection isnt shiit, theres going to many wails of lament from those not used to us kbm neckbeards. I personally can't wait for the transition. On PC, I really don't think it's possible for Dust 2.0 to be anything as pathetic as the current Dust is.
Of course, we're talking about CCP. I'm sure if they really tried they could even fail at that. |

How about now? Are you still saving ISK? Believe it or not, I still find running BPOs more refreshing somehow. When I'm running suits that are consumable, I'm always conscious of dying and so I avoid conflict more. When I run BPOs, I don't care if I die or not - I know I will, so I just accept it, and attack. I actually play more like the protos do when I'm in BPOs. Don't tell me it's all in their gun game or footwork. I've seen their attacks first hand - they KNOW they will mow you down, so they just fearlessly blast you. I can do the same in a BPO suit because I don't mind dying, and guess what? I actually die less and win more doing that. |
