I'm sure the farther I get into this the more attention I'll have to pay but right now I'm just mining away and buying ships and mods for them. In all a pretty good first impression. I did the free 2 week deal and I'm going to buy a 3 month for sure. If that goes well by the time that's up my B-Day will be around that time so if I like it I'm going for the year long deal. Thanks for the input and heads up on things.
I have to admit, this thread does have me considering getting back into EVE. I still want to do Red vs. Blue, but if anybody has any opportunities going that I could get involved in otherwise it'd be much appreciated. A lot has changed and it's been a long time so I too would be relearning the game.
I have done mining with up to three accounts. Two Hulks and an Orca. I find that sort of thing fun, but you still need to break the routine. I also day traded in Jita and ran ore collecting and trading in Cal space with two freighters running two routes.
That kind of stuff you can do in between and make good money if you get used to playing the market with buy and sell orders. Buy plex and sell it then use the isk as investment money.
I also have three agents still cooking off datacores for money.
I wish smuggling, particularly gun running, was more of a thing. That's what I'd really love. I like fitting a ship with warp stabs to make easy escapes of gate camps. Fun game of cat and mouse.
CCP logic GÇô We fix what doesn't need breaking.

Highly recommend exploring WH space for those that like a little risk with their thinking.
Had a blast last night scanning down sites and hacking into them also made more isk on 1 hour that I had all week and that was just off the entry WH let alone the deeper sites

Idk about that analogy but i love both chess and monopoly and i love EVE so i guess it is true.

I'm very careful of where I go until I get into a Corp. Not sure who to run with yet but I'm making some isk so far. About 20m today, I know people make crazy amounts according to chat but I'm hoping that's not bad for my second day playing. TBH I'm looking to be a bad guy on eve. I played dust as a good guy helping out small corps since beta and I just want to have fun and villains have fun. Not looking for scamming or anything like that but I am looking for people that can show me how to take lunch money if ya know what I mean lol |

Your gunna need to head to low/null sec for pirate stuff. But I would take more time to get a feel of EvE as being a pirate is a hard life and you need a good corp

I plan on taking awhile before i even think of doing anything meaningful. Need the skills to have the means to do anything like that yet. I also realize that i need to learn a whole lot or it wont matter what im flying. Im learning, now i just need the right team to get me going in the right directions. |

the game was worth playing up to about 5 years ago.... now its an archaic mess of a game developed by a company that cant seem to make anything else. also with games like star citizen on the horizon, youre better off saving up and spending you money elsewhere on a new game with a better developer.
this game makes me sad....

lewl. Star Citizen? That's comparing Hello Kitty Adventureland to Day Z, buddy. Go on, tell us another, you. You're funny, you. |

Speaking of which, I sent a mail to your EVE character. If you have a minute, let me know your thoughts.

No worries, most have been helpful and I'm enjoying the game. Definitely going to buy a long subscription as soon as I get paid. |
