I was inspired by the 21 Gun Salute thread. I still want to do that, because 32 mercs all getting blasted at once sounds incredible, but why just 32?
The premise behind Project Immortal is to remember those of us who were here for all this. I've created a public Google doc. Your job is to open it and insert your info. You will be restricted to just one suit, so choose wisely how you wish to be remembered. Then add a link to an EVE Killmail of yourself.
For those of you who don't know, an EVE Killmail is a notification EVE players get when they kill any other player, including us Dusters. It contains the name of the player and every single item that the player was fitted out with. To get your own, you'll need to go to a Faction Warfare match or Planetary Conquest match and coordinate with an EVE player to kill you. A team kill will still show up as a killmail.
Remember, get killed in your fanciest suit ever. It's all getting recorded.
Once you've been killed, find your killmail below,

Then go and enter it in the Google doc. Note that you can enter in information ahead of time and put the link in later once you have it. After the Dust 514 servers shut down on May 30th, I will take every complete entry and create a database for us all to look back on. The database will be able to be sorted by any of the categories and will bring up a page for each user with all the info and their fit.
The database can be edited now and will remain open until May 30th. Everyone is responsible for themselves, and don't be a jerk and mess with anyone else's info. If all goes well, this could be something cool to look back on when Dust 2.0 releases, a way for you to claim that you were hear before.

Unfortunately there's no way to confirm if a vehicle was yours or not, though vehicles do show up in killmail. Think we should add another category?

In fact I just found one of mine from March 15, 2014. The commando doesn't even have all it's slots, but like you said - a good place holder incase I don't get a better one.
