steadyhand amarr shadows of 514 3	Posted - 2016.02.06 18:34:00 - [1] - Quote This is request to all active clones for help. over the last few days I'm sure you have all been hearing reports of strange happenings, contacts going dark, normally friend agents refusing to do business, normally savy clones dropping millions on the market place arming themselves to the teeth for no reason. and in more than one case easy missions suddenly being filled with kill teams who seem to have perfect understanding of clone warfare. It is with developments in mind I wish to establish a network whose so goal it is to ensure the safety of trusted clones by evacuating them outside of empire and concord space to safe houses across null or wormhole space. The development of long lasting clone bodies to remove the need and danger of our minds being captured in transit and to establish our own network are minds can float on outside of concord control to truly become independent of empire control all Clones interested in this "Network" please respond here and we can start working out how to do this. (OCC one last hurrah for any RPs left and want to setup a character exit when the game closes down) I am among the 1st of my kind, and i will never forget. no empire lasts forever and i have all the time in the world.
MrShooter01 Ustio Mercenary Squadron 2	Posted - 2016.02.06 21:54:00 - [2] - Quote It certainly feels like someone's trying to finish us all off again... names I haven't seen in months or years suddenly popping up all over the place, brutal coordinated attacks on mercs in the field, deploying ludicrous amounts of firepower and assets for a minor battle with a payout worth a fraction of the value of their weapons. CONCORD and the empires may have looked the other way for a time after our little uprising but we may have pushed our luck too far, playing at being warlords fighting over backwater systems. It's turned into something of an embarrassment for them. Some of my contacts are saying the empires are spooked about yet another group of immortals - piloting starfighters this time apparently - coming into play, and they might be trying to clamp down on all of this "illegal" clone activity in a last desperate attempt to hold onto their old power. And on the other hand, I've been hearing rumors of some kind of "next generation" clone soldiers going around and wiping out their old competition, us, with superhuman reflexes and impossibly precise aim. Battles get shut out by an unstoppable squad of them, then they somehow trace the signal back to your warbarge and board it, in order to... well, that would explain the mercs stockpiling the best weapons on the market in their barge, could be handy. I know it all sounds like a myth, the kind of thing told to the rookie mercs to scare em like all those bloody "514" horror stories they used to tell me, but with those "drifters" the eggers are dealing with suddenly appearing I would believe in just about anything these days. Either way, nothing about whats happening feels right, and I don't want to be in the way when the hammer falls. So speaking of eggers, I've gotten in contact with a capsuleer buddy of mine who has been tinkering with cloning tech, same guy who helped me evade the earlier empire purges. He's been helping me move my warbarge deeper into space, setting up some extra communications relays for me to bounce off and hopefully make me harder to find. But in case all that fails... I've got an ugly back-up plan. Backups, that is. Of my mind. Got a couple safehouses of my own setup, and with the help of a little neurosurgery don't even remember the locations of them. Got them set on a sort of "dead man's switch." If something happens to me, if I disappear completely or I'm not... myself... hopefully they'll activate in a few weeks or months. Now I know what you're thinking, all those reports about how dangerous and illegal it is to have multiple conscious clones, and how unstable "backups" are, but I want to reassure you they are all completely true. If it comes to that, the backups sure as hell aren't going to be up to date and might have a spot or two of brain damage, but hopefully will have enough sense to asses whatever situation they find themselves in and wait for things to settle down. Hey, it beats fading away. I'll chip in what I can for this "Network" of yours, as it sounds like a better plan than mine, but still I advise you all to start thinking up backup plans for your backup plans. If any of you know eggers you can trust, try to work out something with them, they've been at this game a lot longer than any of us and know how to hide things right under the nose of the Empires. Don't trust them too much of course, we all know some eggers that would rather keep the concept of immortality all to themselves, and are afraid of what we might do to them if we get enough power.
steadyhand amarr shadows of 514 3	Posted - 2016.02.07 15:17:00 - [3] - Quote thank you, from what I'm hearing from various places everyone has enough recourses to setup their own Evac cells, which I think its the right approach to take, it keeps the rest of the safe in the event one of is captured. but that still leaves us getting off the tac net and working out what the hell is going on. for now I think we set up a trigger sentence that everyone who is part of the network can say, the moment any large action is taken on us. I'm open to suggestions but the goal is for it to be said in natural conversation or burst transmission. This idea you have for a network... well it interests me greatly. Unfortunately, my hands are somewhat tied at the moment. You see, ever since CONCORD gave the kill order, I have put my fighting days behind me. Hell, my sentinel suit is still on the IGS collecting dust, and without my suit, well, I am as f.cking usless as a goldsh.tting holder with no slave! In saying that, I can get in contact with some old boys who I used to smuggle with back in the day. We are heavily underfunded, but we get the job done. I can get the other mercs out, but I can not risk resettling them personally, can't risk getting caught... or losing my wife again... Without back up clones clone or the support of our modules we are already functionally as mortal as anyone in the greater cluster, with that in mind any attempt to suppress us or liquidate us could be viewed as a fundamental attempt at genocide. Considering CONCORD at present is not viewed as a particularly decisive or trustworthy organisation, given its relative inaction against the Drifter threat, that such attempts would likely foment an anti-establishment sentiment amongst the cluster's four largest powers. I remain unconvinced and unafraid with faith in myself to endure. Already I've be approached by an unaffiliated organisation and backer willing to aid me if I either need to become a fugitive or my condition is compromised. Though to be clear the network is simply their as a panic buttion. I don't actually know what's going on. Every single one of us has a long list of people who want us dead. It could simply be different actors coming after us at once. Or we are all just going mad Either way the network is their for those who need to bail and quickly. It is largely in place now it's simply a waiting game at this point. But I have a lovely penthouse setup in legion space. We the network ready to rescue anyone that needs it. By some miracle he found a spare implant for capsule clones. Unfortunately its only a temporary implant though, but I'm in the process of obtaining a permanent one. As this result I am also in the time of shutting down any and all assets on my ground clone, and the Helix corporation has been transferred to control of my capsule clone. With only a month away from termination, I hope others find possibilities of either obtaining the new ground implant or capsule implants.
