It's kinda interesting watching all the people in the forums just now learning what microtransactions are.

Before giving you the rude answer: The suggestion is about doing the said micro transactions in another game by the same company, instead of a discontinued one. Or are you willing to act more stupid than you probably aren't?
From CCPs perspective, Dust Aurum funds Dust payroll and Eve Aurum (helps to) fund Eve payroll.
If you bring a bunch of Dust Aurum into Eve (even at the adjusted rate), you will reduce the amount of Eve Aurum that is bought until all the Dust Aurum is consumed.
It's hard for me to explain but all the cash from Dust Aurum is likely already budgeted for in Shanghai and thus 'spent'. The same goes for Eve Aurum, but what you're suggesting would reduce the amount of cash from Eve Aurum purchases and in turn put a hole in the Eve budget.

Kerosinii makes a great point that Aurum is not soley a Dust Currency, but CCP currency bought for real money that is applicable across all of CCP's titles Gunjack, Valkyrie and Eve Online.
The only difference is the rates and what they buy.
Its like exhanging dollars for euros and then you find out you are in Greece. Buys different commodities for different prices, yet you can still go to France and spend the same currency.
That is such a dishonest statement. You should be ashamed. Aurum in Dust was never ever advertised as a CCP-Games-wide currency that could be used on any of their games, and to ask them to start treating it like that now (when it most suits you) is a bloody disgrace.

If i buy 40quid of AUR all that has happened is that my money has been converted to AUR, a different currency if you will.
The fact is AUR is worth something in whichever countries currency you bought it in, even if you spend half of your 40quid AUR packagae you still have 20quid of it left.
CCP are not a bank, you havn't deposited money into Dust and just converted it to a different currency. You bought Aurum, they provided Aurum. What you did with the Aurum after that was up to you, but as far as CCP are concerned they gave you what you paid for and the transaction is closed.
Microtransaction money (in this case Aurum) is Monopoly money. It has no use outside a game.
If you are thinking of it as anything like a real currency then you are a very uninformed consumer.

To me it is unused. I can say i have 100quid of AUR and that 1 penny will = x amount of AUR. Does not matter what you say because that is how i view it, i have lost 160k of AUR roughly which will equal x amount of pounds and pence to me and that is what it is worth according to CCP who set the AUR to pounds ratio. I do this with all my games, WoT 500 gold is worth 166pence which roughly is 3 gold to 1 pence. I have lost this amount of AUR, even if i use it now i still lose it anyways, if it gets transfered great, if it doesnt well teaches me for believing in something. What Kero is asking for is a goodwill gesture from CCP to everyone in the game, i back it because why not, nothing to lose and alot to gain.
I'm sorry that you view microtransaction gems as holding any monetary value after their purchase and I hope you get a better understanding of their actual value some time soon.
