Ok, just to make things clear, a i3 6100 with a gtx 750ti is the equivalent of a ps4, i have this system as a budget gaming pc, if you want proof then youtube it in videos comparing it side by side with ps4 in cross platform games like witcher 3, battlefield, assasins creed, fallout 4 etc. Anything above this system will be more than enough for any game in full 1080p which is ps4's highest possible resolution. For 4k you will need an i5 such as i5 6500 skylake with a gtx 970 at least for decent 4k framerate, but 4k is complete overkill, 1440p is more than enough and alot sharper than 1080p, a i5 with a gtx 970 will give good 1440p gameplay, however even 1440p can be considered too much when 1080p is brilliant and the most common among pc gamers right now, not to mention it is what current console players are gaming at. As for ram get 8gb which is the gaming sweet spot, make sure it is a set of two 4gb sticks in dual channel, the power supply needs to be a trusted brand and 500w WILL be enough with a Intel cpu and Nividea Graphics card, only AMD needs more as their power output is always higher and less efficient. Storage can be as much as you want, a nice option is to have a SSD as a boot drive to store your windows operating system and a second HDD with 1TB of space or more if you desire. I will say it is far better and cheaper to buy the parts and build it yourself, it is as easy as putting lego together and there are plenty of youtube videos to show you how to do it. A 7 year old can do it. I use pc part picker to get a build together, best thing out there if you build it yourself. Otherwise use pc specialist, they will build it for you. Hell, i would build it for you if i lived near you bro :)

For eve, you don't have to spend even that much lol. Yea newegg is good, pc part picker has links to the best trusted sites, one of them being Newegg.

An i5 is all you will EVER need for gaming, i will laugh at anyone who suggests you may need an i7, complete bs. However if you have the cash, might aswell get an i7 but it will still be for the sake of it. The video card is the most important, even in cpu intensive games the gpu still does most of the work, as long as you have an i5 cpu, your golden.

If you seriously want 4k, yea you will have to sli or crossfire two gpus. I would say get 2 gtx 970s over r9 390s. But that is personal choice and up to you.

Complete overkill but yea you got the cash so go for it, the thing is a beast. However it looks like it only has a SSD and not a second HDD for mass storage, so you only have 250gb of space, but you can always put in a 1TB 7200rpm HDD yourself, Western Digital is my choice for HDD, Samsung for SSD.

For most games, as long as you don't run it at absolute max settings (Instead of Ultra, set it to high), and don't use anti aliasing (which isn't really necessary at that resolution), then you can quite comfortably get 60FPS with GTX 980 Ti.
At 1440p yea, 4k is pushing it, i would rather all high to ultra settings at 1440p than a mix of medium and high at 4k.

That PSU is pretty garbage, especially for a rig using 5820K and 980Ti. I wouldn't even dream of using anything that isn't at least Gold rated on a rig like that. Thermaltake tends to be a bit sketchy from time-to-time, as well. Also, I can justify getting a Skylake i7 on OP's budget, but no way should he get a 6-core Haswell-E processor. He's literally blowing almost 1/4 of his budget just on the CPU. I do agree with those saying to stick with an i5 on most gaming PCs, I just usually recommend a cheaper i7 for higher budgets due to possible future advancements. Devs are slowly starting to experiment with better parallel processing, so it isn't a bad idea to be prepared when you're likely only spending an extra 50-80 out of 2K.
Yup, i5 is a gaming beast, i7 will see no difference in terms of gaming, maybe 5 frames a second more if your lucky, for the price difference it just aint worth getting an i7 over an i5, strictly talking gaming, not video rendering etc.
