That was the point!!!
The playing of the game and the entertainment it provided while playing is what the game was about. As all games of a MMO nature are. Some of you seem to think you can win Dust with SP or Stuff. You can't. Even if you had it all you still play the game the exact same way, but with less incentive.
Its myopic and childish to want to sabotage any new game they may or may not develop by even asking for such crazy ideas as skill transfers, BPO transfers, ISK transfers, or AUR refunds. Its also not going to happen as they were clear about not transferring characters in the announcement. No one wants to start a new game 4 years behind on launch day. That is pretty obvious by the number of whiners on here not wanting to start over. Yet they expect others to want to suffer under a regime of god characters when they themselves don't even have the balls to start over.
Neck beards and Kids don't understand that games end. New games come out. That is the cycle that adults expect.
Everything you earned or accumulated in the game you have the right to play with RIGHT NOW. That was the point. So, enjoy it for the next few months and pray they deliver another FPS with similar game play and concepts.
If you are still confused read the EULA. It was clear about what to expect no matter what some of you read into the vague releases from CCP.
As for the console users, you cut your own throat if you wanted character transfers. Rogue Wedding offered that. Now after almost 2 years of a shaky platform we get no transfers, because of the fight to keep it on a system that frankly was ill equipped to handle it. Sadly, Rogue wedding was the best option in hind sight and the community of console users killed it. So now all the characters fade away.
Now just go play and enjoy spending our ISK and running our officer gear on our stacked characters and please stop whining about wanting THINGS to transfer.
No, there was very little entertaining about Dust. It was basically cancer and the only reason most of us played it was as an investment in the future.
If you played it and were legitimately entertained than I find your taste to be questionable.
Investents are expected to have returns...
What exactly were you hoping for as a return on playing a video game?
If you were playing it for any reason other the enjoyment of playing it as a game you are honestly mentally deficient. Games are meant to entertain you and in cases like Dust produce revenue for the provider. If you thought otherwise you are either too young and inexperienced to understand what you are ignorant of, or you are a coddled adult who does not live in the real world.
Most of us were not playing for an investment in the future as you claim. We were playing because we enjoyed the game. We found it entertaining or we would have stopped as so many already have when it stopped being entertaining for them.
Sorry, but I am still laughing about this invest in the future thing.
A 15 year old or neckbeard are the only people who would have ever though that. HAHAHAHAHA
