I'm pretty sure this thread has been made before, but what's your Dust history like? When did you start? When did you quit (only for those that no longer play). What are some of your most memorable moments? Did you get to accomplish whatever goals you had set for yourself?
There are a lot of things you can add; tell us your story.
When did I start?
-My first character was created some time in January of 2013. Initially, I had no idea what Dust514 was and looked at it as some generic Halo clone after seeing it up for free download in the PSstore. It only took me a few games to realize that it was entirely different, and it took only a few more games to get me hooked.
When did I quit?
-My interest in playing fizzled out in August of 2015. Dust really seemed to had lost all its luster at that point. No amount of jumping or weapon balancing could rekindle the spark many of us felt during our first few months of our Dust careers. It wasn't long before I stopped playing altogether. I believe the last time I logged in was late October or early Novemeber, and even then, I only logged on to do a forum Officer gear giveaway.
Memorable moments?
-Caldari Prime, need I say more? Many will agree when I say that some of the most memorable moments for any of us occured during the Caldari Prime event. A crashed Titan and a dark, firey, war torn battlefield was all it took to make many of us feel more connected to something bigger. Sadly, nothing progressed after that point.
Accomplishments/goals?
-I was never one to set any goals. I played for fun and for the challenge. Being a lonewolf/casual forum warrior for almost three years allowed me to view everything that unfolded from a neutral stance. Whether it was in-game changes, forum complaints, Rouge Wedding anarchy, etc. I sat back and watched it all happen as a spectator, and to me, that's something I take pride in: the accomplishment of sticking it out and seeing the rise and downfall of Dust514.
It's been a fun ride everyone. Cheers. |

My dust history:
My father was one of the first to recieve a beta code as he still had a active eve account, and I didnt. So we shared his account until I got mine, which was sometime in late closed beta (codex?) I played solo or with my pops for the first few months. I corp hopped a bit until I found The Southern Legion, a great group of Aussies whom I shared many days (nights) with.
I have quit and come back to dust too many times to count. I think the rouge wedding was really the killing point for me though. Any return I have made after that has been short lived.
My most memorable memories are probably the old corp battles. I have only had that much fun a few times playing a video game, back in like '98 when I played my first MMO.
Like you, I never really made any goals for myself. I just enjoyed (most of) the time I spent here.
