Who wants to bet on whether this new FPS game ever sees the light of day?
And, in true DUST fashion, if it does see the light of day then what are the odds it will get past (or out of) beta with any meaningful success?
EVE Fantasy Football time folks!
Pro tip: don't buy anything CCP is offering until reviews say it is a success.

Twenty million Isk that CCP's new shooter sees the light of day, but that it takes another five or more years to become halfway polished.
What? Am I mad? Why do you ask?

My guess is, even if it comes out polished and performing great, they will spend most of their time combating hackers on pc, that very few new content patches will be released. They said our community was volatile, the PC shooter community is by far the worst gaming community I have been a part of, thus why I came to console.
Look at nearly every progressive shooter on PC in the last couple years, RUST, Day-Z, ect, ruined by the community of gamers who play them. Hackers will be a huge problem for CCP on PC, mark my words. I still really do wish them the best though, mainly because I still hope for a port to PS at some point.

How can it see the light of day from under Dust's shadow?
The gaming blogosphere will tear it apart, then the hackers will finish it.
Because beer, that's why.

Hackers are less of a problem when you might think on PC... heck, I am actively playing MGO and the FOB Mode of Metal Gear Solid V. It doesn't even have anti-cheat-protection and I still haven't encountered a hacker so far.
But apparently people are searching for anything currently to talk this game down... completely ignoring, that Dust 514 recently had problems with hackers too... even though its a console game. Weird, right?

Weird, right? Actually it is. I was a PC gamer before a console gamer. I have ran these programs. I know exactly what I am talking about. And unless it has happened in the last few months while Ive been gone, there are no hax in dust. There have been lots and lots of glitches, which people have used to their advantage, and very ****** servers which have made people seem like they were using lagswitches, but no hax.
These are literally undetectable third party programs (which you would have to mod your playstation to use.) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eZmgSCffFFQ Please find me any dust video with even something remotely close to this going on (intentionally.)

People are using lag switches in Dust.
And yes, people do mod their playstations to cheat.
Cheating comes often down to how good anti cheat protection is. Eve Online is working too. Weirdly hackers are not as big of a problem there.
And yes, I know that apparently MGSV has lots of hackers. I still haven't encountered any. People just try to overblow cheaters in a desperate attempt to talk down PC gaming and trying to find something good about consoles.

If you had any clue how any of that works you would laugh at how stupid you sound. For a lagswitch to work, you have to HOST a server. So unless you are CCP, no one is lag switching. Downloading a torrent to slow your connection maybe, but it is, physically or otherwise, impossible to use a lagswitch in dust.
As far as modding, you would have to change the operating system to something like homebrew, which doesnt connect to PSN. So yes, while some people do mod their systems, they dont play online with them. I have heard of people linking the system with their PC though, and I honestly dont know what is possible there, since I have never done it.
And thirdly, as far as eve-o and cheating goes, you better do some research. CCP had MAJOR issues with hackers and bots for like the first 6 years of EVE. Only in the past few years has CCP gotten it under control.

Yeah, because people don't buy mouses that emulate ds3 to play console games and wreck people in multiplayer? Yeah, no one uses modded controllers for turbo-auto-whatever fire. Yeah, Sony never had their auth keys stolen from them, neva eva...

If you are being wrecked by M/KB in dust, you will never survive against a real M/KB on PC..
And turbopad? Thats totally the same thing as aimbot, or clipping through walls, or jump/flying, or wallhacks.
And what do sony's auth keys have to do with this? Completely different type of hack brah..

It will never leave beta and will never be finished or balanced for that matter either, it will limp on in some lazy half arsed fashion while they pull the wool over the eyes of a new community.
It will end the same way as this one i believe the only difference is they may make more coin from it.
