What ever happened to training the skill to use the Tank or vehicle that can be called down from a Dropship? I log into a match and I have all these tanks and people running with tanks moving around.
I'm being told that Militia Tanks are being called in without limit and being driven without skill use. Can we fix this back to when Tanks were skilled involved and pricey.

I don't think that is an issue - issue is that militia tanks should be WEAKER - normal tank piloted by experienced and skilled (many SP) driver should be able to destroy 2-3 of them in open field battle.
Or do other thing - make a CIVILIAN counterparts for militia - like in EVE. Civilian equipment and vehicles should be BPO and very very weak, and militia should be as is but BPO in higher price and need some skills to drive it - vehicles lvl 1 - LAV, vehicles lvl 2 - HAV, vehicles lvl 3 - dropships.
AT LEAST - you cannot enter and drive a vehicle that you don't have skills for. Stealing my newly dropped tank by a guy who just respawn is still a big issue.
This should be good for players who want to feel how it like to drive a tank, but not be a behemoth to foot soldiers. |

I'm fine with this for the beta, so people can test things, but yeah, these things should not exist at release in my opinion. My very first game with this build had like 6 HAVs, 8 dropships, and 3 LAVs over the course of it. I was confused how everybody had millions of SP right away until I checked after the match and saw I had more than an onikuma.
If these are kept in the final version and we all have infinite vehicles:
1. Please only let us call in one of each per battle, and 2. They should be quite a bit weaker than their non-stock counterparts. |

I entered a match and i saw 5 dropships dropping tanks in a small area near me, this shouldnt be the same in the release in my opinion, its too ugly and annoying, especially when you spawn then die because 4 DS' are firing at the same time @_@

They need to be exactly 50% as effective as the tier 1 vehicles to be balanced. |

I think it mostly just feels dumb right now because we're playing on these tiny maps. When they bring the big maps back it will be fine. |

I think something that would help balance these is to remove the armor repair units. I don't know if the dropship has one (pretty sure I've seen them with the regen effect active), but I know for sure the HAV does. They already can't have their outfits edited, so that'd help make them an introductory vehicle without being something someone can rely on. |

in case you all have noticed, u can demolish this thing with a damn militia assualt rifle, one good shot from swarm and they're done, and u get a nice 2-4 kill feed. what should be done is to limit one per char or even one per squad per game, this way in ambush at least only 2 tanks per team |

It would be easy to take out militia vechiles than do this balancing act |

The milita tanks are able to fit heavy shield boosters (and armor rep i assume), which is what makes them so OP at this moment.
Nerf their PG such that they can't use heavy rep/booster and it will be more balanced for beta testing. Obviously way too many things are now available in militia that needs to be removed when the game launches, not just vehicles but also everything not part of the standard beginner fittings. |

I say take them out. Vehicles were absolutely fine last build, sans the infinite spawn glitch and drop ships not taking collision damage.
So they fixed those two issues, then created a whole new can of worms. so insead of having infinite tanks spawning in the same place, now we have infinite tanks spawning all over the map. fantastic. |

Agreed, the real problem with militia HAV aren't the HAV themselves but their ability to get powerfull militia modules ! |

This was a terrible idea by ccp, they really need to add a limit or remove it. This is serving the noobs again. |

I vote to get rid of them
One of the MAIN attractions to this game for me was that people had on the battlefield what they TRAINED and PAID for.
I even thought having a number of militia load outs to start was silly:
- You should choose a class for your char and get ONLY that type of militia load out (if you want to train into another class you can)
This Militia vehicle situation is really disrupting gameplay. There have been a lot of good changes in the update.
The militia vehicles and the reduced player tagging on the GUI are 2 things that have gone very wrong.
It was fun when tanks and dropships were costly and so they were spawned in at strategical points in the match. It is no longer strategical because people are just spawning stuff in every second that they can |

I can literally kill Militia tanks in a large blaster turret before they get my shields down. Co-ordinate your efforts, people, and taking out **** tanks won't be so hard. |
