The ScR is decent - but not really good - on an Amarr assault. On anything else, it's quite lackluster. And nowhere near good enough to run on the glass cannon fits I run.
I run mainly scout suits with no HP modules, and used to do quite well with the ScR (advanced). The quick overheat now makes it too inefficient in anything but CQC. In CQC, I can still use it since I have my sidearm to finish kills with. Outside 15 meters or so, it's too inefficient.
It is what it is, and I've gotten used to using the TAC instead, which is the only feasible semi automatic weapon with any kind of range to it after the ScR got nerfed. So I'm not gonna spend energy whining about the nerf. Just don't call the ScR good, because it simply isn't.
The main ScR related problem is, and has always been, the Amarr assault bonus. The ScR can be balanced on either the AmAss or on other suits, not both at the same time. The bonus is just too powerful. |

okay...what they @#$% are you talking 'bout ryan... the ScR and CR are okay... now 2 classes have become a bit of a problem and a subclass weapon on the other hand needs something done.... or am i kidding... maybe my trolling has reached the fourms..

As bored as I am about rifle balancing, the scrambler heat nerf needs removing and the assault bonus needs nerfing to compensate.
The Gal assault bonus needs nerfing and the AR's rate of fire needs increasing to compensate. CCP should also think about reducing the BAR's range and the AR's ads dispersion. I don't mind ARs being devestating at close range, as they should be, but this recent increase to dps makes them a bit too good at longer ranges. I could be wrong about the range though. Not really skilled Gal assault enough to test.
Rails and combat rifles seem pretty balanced. As shown by the data, scramblers are by far the worst. |
