Ammo lvl 5 and nanohives. (links on my scout)
That and ion pistol charge shots.
Do 400+ damage over 100 times. So ammo isn't even a problem. And never had to run out of ion rounds since I maxed them out so that's going good for me.
That and lots of people carry hives and supply depots everywhere.
