There's an Eve Portraits Contest site that I invite everyone to visit and stroll through. There are some GREAT face-creations in there, and I guarantee you'll even stumble across a face that actually matches the personality you envision for your MERC.
Youtube vids of Eve-Online battles and lessons are second to none in quality. Some great cinematography, editing, sound and voice stuff... terrific!
Eve-Online tutorials from CCP are the prettiest and most----
--Hey, you know what? I'm SICK AND TIRED of myself admiring Eve-Online players' stuff so much. DARN it!! Why do so many Dust youtubes look like a 20-minute rant and complaint, with ploppy sound and poopy editing?
A Console game is more intense, faster paced, and more visceral than a PC game, so our stuff SHOULDN'T look like Eve-Online vids. A Dust vid next to an Eve vid ought to look like Conan next to Lady Gaga! Both powerful to look at, but each in her own art. Yet,... a Dust player with a laptop ought to be showing the same technical ability and polish as any Eve Capsuleer. Shouldn't she?

And hey, I said "film-work", please.... Please don't link your newest "Why the PG is so OP", and "Greatest LAAGG match---hate you CCP".
Don't be too in love with your run-n-gun skills that you're just making a recording of your astounding high Ambush Match Kills.
A "good" video has clean editing, nice sound, imaginative cut scenes/switches, maybe some cool slapstick, or some dramatic pantomime.
A "great" video will have a look and style to it that clearly gives us our DUST identity and some CONSOLE bragging rights. Our game graphics have atmosphere, the lighting, the kicked up dirt effects, bullet trails, terrain and horizon visuals---these are exclusive tools that PC Eve doesn't script.
But I haven't even seen CCP use them to make impressive vids in their promotions...
Those who have time and some good editing/capture apps will hog this thread away from those of us who don't have that stuff----but it doesn't matter, because we'll finally end up with some fine examples that can compete with those darned pretty-looking Eve-Online vids. They're all so pretty, SO PRETTY---I'm sick of them, LOL!
