Try squading up, and learning to love working as a team. Also, be a D8CK when it comes to choosing guys to play with! If he sounds like he licks windows and wears a helmet on the short bus, he's out!
I know sometimes you just wanna shoot sh*t, but when I feel that way I DON'T get on dust! Dust isn't that shooter!
To give an incite to how I look at Dust514....
I get home, shower, eat, log into Eve, then..... brace myself.... get my mind into tactics, strategy, and economy mode....
I log into Dust!
I first read mails! As a corp director I must unfortunately attemp to help solve problems?! Now guys will tell you that I do NOT babysit! I here the problem, give a quick solution, and then you can fix it yourself with my solution or continue to b*tch, but it won't be to me! Most guys mail me with ideas, fits, or wtt/wts mails.
I check my warbarge, quickly browse fits, and then I may turn on a chat just to hear the noise.
I talk little, and mostly only when needed. So in the social aspect at times I can be just as introvert as yourself. To me this part sounds like you need a legit corp to run with lacking in their stock of idiots?
I have a schedule! Based upon PC's, what I need to work on, and testing experimental fits! So regardless this dictates my time on dust. If you just want to shoot sh*t then make a plan to just run Dom or bush, listen to loud music, and die alot! Once you come to terms with the circumstances of your wishes it makes more sense.
Stop caring about KD!
While it's cool to look at that's really all it is?! A number with no real value as this game is different from other FPS's. It doesn't mean you're good in dust if you have a high KD. As i'm sure you've noticed by now, it simply means you run a high kd role consistently (i.e. blaster tank, jumpy MD, sniper, etc.) where your team gets stomped often while you get high kd..... pause for the cause.... F*CK those guys!
OR!
You might have noticed the obviously ridiculous gap between one players dmg output, and another players. While some of that is weapon proficiency, as you may have noticed on some of the latest forum post, Dust is full of honor-less cheaters?! It's an unfortunate issue we deal with here, and due to the nature of the game it shows up here much more than in other shooters?!
How do you counter?
Teamwork! Management of personal economy! Not caring about dying because you're rich and it doesn't phase you lol!
In this game you're SUPPOSED to die! They made immortal just because they knew you were going to die. Why is everyone hell bent on the not dying part is beyond me?!
I get paid in Eve and Dust to die to make isk! That's the whole point lol! In Eve they have a thing called "Suicide ganking" lol! YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!
The question then becomes... what will you die for? Gained position on the battlefield is a good one! Dying holding down Bravo? YES! Dying to kill that tank raping your team? CHECK! Dying to take overwatch positions out? YES SIR!
The question shouldn't be "did I die?" The question should be "did I do my job?" If the answer is "YES!" Good!
That's why I have never claimed to be a slayer?! Everybody that claims it is usually running on an unstable economy of borrowing and begging for isk?! When I hear a guy say "I'm a slayer", I say to myself "Check! He likes the struggle" lol!
I play rock music, Eve, and Dust..... watch youtube, facebook it up, check the forums, etc.
You can't enjoy dust sir because you're trying to play battlefield?! You have to play dust!
Yes, the framerate, glitches, modders, and lag are infuriating to say the least, but aside from that the concept is A1.
Hope this helps bro o7
