What exactly are you referring to? He may be referring to the issue that's been rampant the last week or so where you get a waiting for deployment, then it disappears. I spent several hours last night trying to gt a match in both pubs and FW and this occurred repeatedly. I eventually gave up after a stretch of nearly an hour of this happening. I'm still getting this. |

Message, then it's the "waiting for deployment" thing. I've been looking at that damn thing for at least 5 minutes now. Not complaining, just letting you know. Well, I AM complaining! I haven't had a decent battle in days, due to one thing or another. I've taken to going back and playing Ace Combat and watching anime.
Just tried again before, on all three battle servers. I get to waiting for deployment and then it just boots me. |

murder death KILLler wrote:Why is it that Europe server is down and or off line we can't deploy this is a mess of biblical proportion I'm wondering if this is all being done on purpose to have us pay 4 some unnecessary stuff? Just seems like cup don't have what it takes to compete with the likes of destiny and other games so they're taking their ball and going home... or in other words giving up No, if it's being done on purpose it's to wean us off the game and get us to do other things.
It's working. |

However the issue remains that CCP has all it's big toes in with oculus, THE NEXT MOVE IN TECHNOLOGY, if you owned a business where would your time be??? Dust or Valkyrie? Just like when they had the half price veterans pack and the quafe lavs, knowing good and well that was the selling point, BP lav, so what did they do? Hotfix echo, they sold us a corvette and it turned out to be a chevette... We are bottom feeder minions, the old bait and switch. In the grand scheme, we are the bottom. Where's legion? You know the john wick version??? DEAD, time for more space ships?! SMUH, OCULUS RIFT. We will forever be on the DEFEAT screen, frozen with hope, lagging in love with a dcing affair. OK, let me answer something you brought up.
If I owned the business, I would be making sure that my legacy products had support, decent support that kept them going, because that is where your EXISTING revenue is coming from. Yes, I would have a lot of work happening in development but not at the expense of your legacy systems.
That is, of course, unless said legacy systems are NOT providing appreciable revenue, in which case you might choose to just let them die. How they got to the point of not providing appreciable revenue is another issue. I believe that CCP has been negligent in allowing Dust to get to this state of affairs, but it could simply have been a corporate choice to let it decline, and do no further serious development. We will probably never know.
Letting your legacy systems die is never a good strategy unless you believe they're already dead. A good strategy is to migrate people off legacy systems before they die, get them moved over to whatever replacement systems you are putting in place. So, what replacement systems does CCP have for us?.... |

This is a FREE game and the fact that they talk to us at all is impressive. CCP gives a damn and quite frankly, I'm not sure why. Most of what you read on the forums is nothing more than b*tching and crying and name calling and other various insults. Can you do their job? Shut the f*ck up. A lot of the issues are due to the PSN. THAT is truth. Don't give me that "it's a free game" cr@p. It's F2P, but not F2W. People pay real money to get stuff with AUR that they couldn't otherwise, in order to play this game better. The environment for them to play has to be kept going or CCP is negligent. |

If anything the game will die cos no one will have anything new to talk about or do and it's a stupid thing to do.
If the problem is psn, then fair enough, not CCP to blame. But from my end it doesn't look like a psn issue. Look it up psn is having problems And why is Dust still on PS3?.... |

In fact, it's disrespectful. First the silent treatment. Then they troll us with "Oh hai, serber fixed." AND IT AIN'T.
Nah, son, naaaaaah. Well, this is one of the reasons this 'silence' is there in the first place. Because no matter what we say, some people just go and choose to hear whatever they want - something they can then be offended at. We say left, they hear right. Just for the record, silence in answer to customer complaints is never a good strategy, other than if you want to get rid of said customers. |

Microsoft can't reformat apps, you think CCP can do that with dust? You have more faith in them than I do. Oculus is going to change the world, dust is the dregs. Sell sell sell, because Valkyrie is coming in combo with the rift. That is the biggest deal Any Gaming product could be a part of.
I don't necessarily agree that OR is going to change the world. From where I sit this looks like someone at CCP has got all hot and bothered about OR and devoted a huge amount of effort to it to the detriment of Dust. But it remains to be seen if OR actually is the wunderkind of the gaming world. Yes, it looks good, but the main thing about it is the 3D. They would be better off concentrating on a 2D version that can be played on an ordinary console (or PC) and not require people to purchase a piece of technology that's unproven. We know it works, but will people be interested in paying for it?
I think that CCP would have been better off to keep Dust going until they KNOW that OR and Valkyrie is going to "change the world" and THEN transition out of it. They just might find that they've made a bad business decision chasing OR and in the process, made a bad name for themselves with a lot of the gaming community over their treatment of Dust. |

Your living in a dream world neo. "they should focus on dust" that's selfish of you. VR is going to change everything, maybe not for the old folks that refuse change but like it or not, they've got Zuckerberg (Facebook) backing them with his money, dust HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHA LOL I think you're the one that took the wrong pill, bro. ;) |

Just because you don't have to spend money doesn't mean that those who do suddenly stop becoming paying customers of a company providing a service / product. Stay on point. You're smarter than that. The initial, singular argument was that dust is not f2p because of ..stuff. Stuff is irrelevant as it's optional beyond the free to play game. Analogies are pointless and do not negate that simple fact---to play the game, you are not required to spend a dime. I never said a thing about being or not being customers. Make your complaints then. I'm fine with that too, though I have my opinions on that. I'm not see a connection on f2p. Maybe that's me? *Edit* I assume you were responding to me. If not, mybad. Still applies though I think. You are missing a really important point. The player that buys AUR to use in the game is the player that is pissed off at not being able to play. It doesn't have to be you. All your arguments about whether or not it's their choice to pay for stuff mean nothing to them, if they're not happy. If you think what I'm talking about applies to me, you're sadly mistaken. I run largely starter BPO fits, and couldn't give a damn whether the game is up or not. I've paid a little real money to buy some BPOs, but that's hardly a big issue to me.
Your arguments don't change the fundamental issue that people are not happy that the servers are acting up. In fact, if anything, your arguments are probably making people angrier. |
