I have heard these kids say time and time again that the old wars we had weren't ****. Yet these kids have never even seen a competitive environment in dust.

I have also seen even a handful of the old vets come back and dominate these kids time and time again. They dont want to see a full squad, let alone a full team of the players we played against.

The funny thing about the "beta vet" arguement, is we were here, then and now, they weren't, so they are clueless, yet keep talking **** as if they were. You are included in the "they" there catz..

First off KID, who are you? Another nobody not on the leaderboards ruminating? The reality is I have been here since the beginning, your toon was not even in closed or open beta, and if you read the post you would see no one is saying anything bad about older players. Obviously your reading skills are as bad as your gun game. The issue is the guys who drift away and stop by to say the exact opposite. Bottom line is there are players today that will smash anyone you bring up. There are reasons they quit. They moved on to other things...its a game. New players or other vets stayed. They filled in the gaps. The game mechanics are the same, so unless you are magical or use exploits there are no real secrets to this game.

If you can't understand the math of the situation try to read some of the previous post slowly. 3 years ago smashing people 20 million skill points less than you was easy and the opportunities to do so was abundant. I know, I was there. Now at the top levels 20 million skill points are not a noticeable difference. If you can't understand the distillation of the player base then I can't help you. If you can't read I can only recommend after school help. The bottom line is comparing old quitters to current players is flawed idea to start with. Gear, SP, and sqauding are the three biggest factors in this game to be successful. EVERYONE now has the best gear, millions of SP and mics up at the highest levels of competition. This was not true at all even 2 years ago. So offer some facts to refute not nostalgia. No doubt there were some great guys and great players in the past, but the truth is there are a higher number of those type guys today still playing. Its just hard to see the forest for the trees. When everyone is on the same plateau its not like you have try hard no lifer stand outs that have their cores maxed and proto suits fighting guys with 10 mill or less SP in PC anymore. Its a different New Eden. You cant simply be good because you had a head start or spent more on boosters. YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO EARN IT THE HARD WAY.

I miss southern legion. Pushing them out of pc was one of the better times on this game.

How am I not a beta vet? I started playing this game in closed beta, this toon is from open beta. My first corp battle was against southern legion, one of the oldest corps in the game. My first PC, against the IMPs.

Back then, the top toons had 12m SP, now they are over 120m SP, yet the gap is smaller? You have no clue what you are even talking about. Don't you have some pubs to scrub?

A player at with all cores and proto vs a player without these is a slaughter. A player with 6 roles proto VS a player with 9 is not even a noticeable difference.

Some of the best fights we had too, until you broke us and our a-team started quitting. I would say the hellstorm/ae guys gave us a way worse beating tho, so I wouldnt get too cocky.

Here is some history for you: when AE helped run PC "back in the day", I had less than 10 million SP... our top 2 slayers had 6 million or less (Kalante and Roner), and we were unbeatable till FA came along, and by then, half of the A team quit the game. I guess my nobody status is also confirmed by being 3Rd place of the squad cup tournament that even 0.H said we were the real winners of (OB glitch lost us the game). As well as how most players now are pretty bad compared to the beta vets. I know for a fact that now if 0.H and AE returned they would be considered OP, but they used to get rekt by Team players, OG Nyain and Imperfects. not sure about PFB there.

Actually O.H. is kind of the reason the AE guys beat us so bad. They were once our allies, then flipped to AE. We were actually giving them a decent run before that.

You forget - AE came out of Imperfects, and by the time that AE were stars, the Imps were all but gone.
